Does anyone know if the dvla office has been moved or closed?
Im wanting to put my personal number plate on my car and not sure where to go as someone has told its closed
If anyone has any info please pass it on

The local offices are due to be shut from May onwards but the main one at Swansea will remain open. |

Yes I should have said....I meant the one in sheffield
Hubby once went to get my number plate sorted but then i had car nicked
I have now waited over a year to put it back on and was told sheffiled office has closed
So god knows now

Personalised number plates are no longer allowed. Been deemed far too tacky and naff lol. Far easier just to change your name by deed poll to that of your car reg.

Well I know last October there were plans to close the local offices, didn't realise it had come about already. |

Found this though from dept of transport:
Today I am announcing that DVLA will press ahead with its proposals to modernise its services. As a result of this decision the DVLA will centralise its enforcement operations by March 2013 and will close its 39 local offices by the end of 2013. While I recognise that a large number of respondents expressed concerns, I believe that many of these concerns can be mitigated and I am confident that this programme will result in modern, effective services delivering savings of £26 million each year. |

i have seen few of them about so think its still allowed
to the op.would do a Google search in what your looking for |
