Just been watching a clip on TV of Maggie and her Cabinet. I used to love this show. Made me think, today politicians are so dull, they could never bring it back. Although I suppose BoJo would make a great subject.

The portrayal of Douglas Hurd as a kind of an upper class school boy, Maggie wearing a suit and Reagan being a complete fruit loop - sublime satire. You're right, the politicians we have now are rather bland. Boris is a noticeable exception, as would be Livingstone and er um er - that's it!

"Ed miliband would make an easy target. As would the two toffs Cameron and Osbourne. "

Gerald Scarffe said this morning he found Cameron bland and difficult to make anything out of.

With all the members of her Cabinet around her at No10, the waiter comes in to take the order for lunch..

Waiter: "Mrs Thatcher, what would you like for lunch?"

Thatcher: "I'll have the chicken"

Waiter: "And what about the vegetables..?"

Thatcher: "Oh they'll have the same"

Absolute classic. Along with their portrayal of the Queen Mum as Gracie Fields, I do miss Spitting Image....

I'm 82 ya know. Wasn't she dressed as a pearly queen in some episodes?

Gonna have to torrent some episodes I think...

David Steele as the tiny tiny puppet sitting alongside David Owen's ever so cool full sized one. Inspired imagery.
