Ever suffering Derby fan here. I think considering the budget we’re getting a squad of reasonable players, just not convinced PW has the ability to merge them into a willing team. I think we’ll avoid relegation but only just. |

"Home to Villa early evening, but the game is less important than the fight to get concessionary pricing re-introduced for our OAPs and U21s.
"
Also disabled carparking charges have doubled 9 days notice before first home game. |

"I’m sorry Martinez I was not familiar with your game.
What a player he is for Manure "
He's easily our best defender and you could see the difference in our build up from when he's playing to when he's not. He's so vital and we missed him a lot last season |

"One down, 37 to go...
Solid start, can't complain."
Two down, 36 to go...
Really good win yesterday - Villa will be strong again this year, and not many teams will leave Villa Park with a win, so I'm pleased. |

"At home now watch the champions league draw… 970 if you have sky!!!
Seeing how this new expanded draw is going to work
"
Think it’ll be a long time before my team plays in this again. To think they once played the likes of Juventus and Real Madrid |

Brighton… bring it on!! 9 out of 9 going into the international break…. Then the first two games back… the NLD then 115 charges FC
Shame out new Spanish signing injured himself in his first training session… but hopefully Tom and Jorgi can look after it!
Also… getting Stirling on no loan fee paid, no obligation to buy, and Chelsea playing most of his wages….. superb business by edu!!!! |

I think Sterling signing is excellent -proven, reliable and still a great player (imho). I think he'll help make Saka/Martinelli even better players, too. It's pretty much no risk, as you say. |

Having difficulty getting into this season, not helped by the international break and Sky moving two of our 3 games so far.
Off to see my lot at Craven Cottage this afternoon. Looks like a decent afternoon to be down on the Thames.
To everyone going to a game this weekend, hope you enjoy it. |

I'm off to TWO games today !
Main priority is Fulham v. Newcastle - first visit to Craven Cottage this season - but I'm also taking in QPR v. Millwall which is a 12.30 kick off. (I shall leave at around ten past two irrespective of how game is going. 5-10 mins stroll to Wood Lane Station, then a few mins on Hammersmith & City line. As long as at Hammersmith Station 2.30ish, should be at The Cottage for kick off. And this is on top of going to two U21/Academy matches yesterday 😆) |

I think you’ll absolutely batter us. We’ve been awful this season and have been very lucky that we’ve only lost once. |

"I think at the start of the season every match should kick off at 3pm, the tv company's have to much control over the various football leagues"
Yeah I’m not a fan of having so many kickoff times and days . Preferred when all games were 3pm Saturday |

Vicarage Road today, Watford v. Sunderland. As is the way with the Championship, after winning first three games, Watford have drawn one & lost two of last three, so could do with a win today.
I'm afraid I'm a total anorak and it will actually be my 36th match of the season ! I have Season Tickets at both Watford & Fulham so get a good mix of the top two divisions. Going to Watford comes first, so if they're both home on same day neighbour borrows my Fulham (it normally ends up being no more than four or five times a season, and of course fixtures get moved a fair bit). I prefer the Championship to the Premier League, it's a brutal slog of a division. A bit too much tippy-tappy slow build up football in the Prem.
I'll happily potter around other clubs in London such as Orient (going to game with Exeter on Tues night), QPR, Millwall, Brentford etc, Wycombe also in easy reach, went to League Cup game v. Aston Villa last Tues. Also watch a fair few Under 21/Academy and the occasional non-league game (particularly when the fucking International breaks wreck the fixture list).
I don't have Sky, and rarely watch any on the terrestrial channels (will occasionally watch the EFL thing on ITV4, don't touch MoTD with a bargepole !), physically going to games is my preference. |

I really appreciate football anoraks, as I run the serious risk of being one myself. I noticed in a thread you posted earlier that you have done some U21 games this season. Where have you been + what non-league teams do you watch?
I need to feed off your enthusiasm for the game, as I am totally disenchanted with it for the first time in my conscious memory. It’s only the thought of seeing WHU’s u21s at Braintree, Sutton, Matlock and York that gets me motivated - and the latter two aren’t until next year and could get moved. |

I quite like the Professional Development League. It's the step down from the "elite clubs".
There are two divisions of around ten teams, a North & a South. The clubs play each in their own section home & away, but also play the clubs in the other division once as well. While most of the fixtures are played on training grounds or perhaps at a local non-league club (last year QPR played some at Hanwell, this year they have some at Hayes), the clubs do have to stage four or five at their main stadium. At Watford they are free for season ticket holders, and they tend to schedule a few when there are school holidays on to a get a few in. When QPR play at Loftus Road admission is free but they encourage you to make a donation to their community scheme, so I stick a fiver in the bucket. Millwall charge £5, and you watch the game from the posh seats !
Brentford B as they style themselves play at what was Staines Town's old ground. Saw a game with Cardiff there on Monday. Brentford had most of the play, but it was a pass too many, a touch too many in front of goal, a hesitancy to shoot. Suffice to say, Cardiff nicked a 0-1 win. Saw a lad playing up front for QPR the other week who really annoyed me. He'd have the ball played to him, would turn, shield it away from the defender, have a little dance on it, turn again.....didn't have a clue about looking up & passing to a teammate. He was subbed at half-time !
Best game I've seen so far this season was in National South a couple of weeks ago. Hemel Hempstead beat Welling 4-2, could have finished 7-7 ! Also had a brilliant evening on Monday. Pat Nevin was on at a theatre in Chesham. His contributions on Radio 5 always make sense, and it was really enjoyable night (& I can't stand the club in London he's associated with !). Could have listened to him for hours. |

"Wish they would get rid of these stupid international friendlies"
They REALLY annoy me too. You get into a good flow of games, and then everything grinds to a halt for two weeks to accommodate this shit. |

We usually turn up against the bigger teams but the form Haaland is in I think you could be right. |

"I didn’t see that coming. What a result.
Banging result man!
Rodri is gonna be a huge miss, and the reason why Arsenal or Liverpool win the title."
I can still see City winning it. I don’t think Arteta has the mentality to keep it going all season. Look at the meltdown they had when we beat them last season. I don’t know enough about Slot to comment on what he brings to Liverpool. |

Happy bunny. Well deserved 2-1 win for Watford over Sunderland today. Ten points from the four home games so far, ALL of which have been very entertaining, which is the most important aspect for me. |

"Man Utd you had one job. "
Operation ETH is going as well as operation moyes did!!!
Fun fact for you… in the last 15 premier league games… Everton have scored more total points than Manchester United, and this includes the 3 2-0 leads Everton have blown to lose! |
