Yes not keen on all the packing but the worst bit is all the other inconsiderate people around and the lack of good airport facilities in this country. Not to mention the exurbitant prices and deterioration of goods and service these days. Bon voyage |

"Has to be the packing.
No matter how much you pack you will always forget something.
You will take clothes or items you don't use and bring them back.
Mr"
Don't bother packing. Famously it was reported that Benny Hill used to go on holiday without a suitcase and without taking anything with him . He just bought what he wanted or need wherever he was and left it behind after. Of course he wasn't short of a few job.. but good idea especially as you have to pay to take luggage with you.. £70 it cost me last time.. enough to buy shorts t-shirt and towel .who needs more. |

"What is this packing? I have a magic suitcase, it fills itself with everything I need, I recommend it to anyone"
My dad used to have one of those. He used to make regular trips to the far east, his suitcase would fill itself and there would even be address labels in it to stick on to letters home. |

I’m sick of the sight of the washing machine after returning home but mostly done and rewashing things that I got done at the site.
Packing away most of the stuff for me and having to look at the kids stuff in terms of what’s new, what’s going to charity shop.
Back to school is soon at least and can get back to the more normal routine |

"I’m sick of the sight of the washing machine after returning home..."
It's been 2 or 3 washing machines since I knew how to use ours. The current one has a digital control panel with more option than Houston control! Where did a dial with coloured/whites/delicates go? I'm not even sure where the go button is, and does it really need to play the entirety of Brahms 3rd when it finishes? What's wrong with a beep? |

Airports.
The whole "need to be there X amount of time before" even though 75% of that is really just sat around waiting.
Everyone seems stressed and tetchy.
Airport security is always a faff, no matter how prepared you are there's hundreds that aren't. |

"Sun cream!
Especially if you travel solo as I do. No one to rub it on your back. "
Very frustrating that, I often thought there should be an option to have that included at your hotel as part of a solo holiday ☀️ |

"The unpacking and doing all the laundry "
We take minimal stuff and use the launderette at the place we visit. Leave it going while we have a swim, hang the stuff on the terrace over lunch, dry within an hour. Simples |

Ditto this! We’re packing for kos ready for the weekend but be working like dogs right up til we go. Got to get a whole months worth of work to pack in, in order to take two weeks off, as no cover whilst away.
The stress is real! But the break will be oh so freaking great |

"Not sure I'd moan about any of it if I'm honest.
So many don't have the chance to have a holiday anymore."
Love every bit of my holidays, but I only ever take a small 7Kg backpack so there’s no packing or unpacking. My least favourite bit is having to do a SIM swap in non-EU places and worrying I’ll mess up WhatsApp |

Nowadays the planning. I never did, just buy a plane ticket then figure everything else out once there.
Now on my own with a toddler I think I need to plan more, where to stay, research activities an under 3 Yr old can do, buggy friendly walks etc. I find that very tedious. I've just done a 3 week Europe road trip to the French, Italian and Swiss Alps. That took a huge amount of planning being across countries and driving. I don't think I'd do that again (not for a few years anyway) |

If you hate airports and almost that goes with it don't fly anywhere. If you prefer solitude instead of a crammed beach with people wearing jeans and a football top every evening to the same restaurant, stay at home, go to an uninhabited island in the UK with a tent, absolute bliss! |

Solo holidays have always been great, family holidays are another story.
Being stuck with annoying family members that just want to do everything you dont want to do, this sucks for me.
Holidays are for my mind to relax and escape the stresses of home life for a short while, going with family is just taking stress with you which defeats the object.

All the chavvy pissheads at Gatwick getting wankered at 4am in spoons, women in wings and wearing halo's with matching t-shirts screaming their head's off quaffing prosecco and tequila shots.
Fucking hate airports, used to be quite civilised places but now just an extension of your local high street on a Saturday night. |

"We never forget anything, we have a list and stick to it. The worst thing is Boa Vista airport, Cape Verde 😞
Have to agree with you.. it’s pretty basic there.!"
Clearly never been to Aberdeen airport?
Add nothing + shitty weather. |

For us, it used to be the sheer unpleasantness of being surrounded by package-holiday punters. We've got to the stage where we only go to places if there's a first/business class section of the plane. Straight out of the car onto one of those buggies, driven straight to the first class lounge. Passport control, customs, baggage etc - all taken care of, then straight onto the plane and turn left. Always to a villa or adults-only hotel. We would no more go cattle class these days than we would shop in Asda. |

I will have to remember the list next time I plan to go on holiday.
Worst part for me, messing about In the city then missing the train and subsequently getting to the gate late then having to rebook flight and overnight hotel |
