Who else is looking forward to the football season after its summer break? It have already started, but the premier league will start tomorrow, what team do you support. I support man city, it will be interesting to see who will win the title this year too

Never been interested myself but at least they do play in bad weather like rugby. Why it it that cricket matches and tennis matches stop because of rain?? Haven't they heard of towels.??? And give a shout out to pro cyclists. Only stop racing when the snow is so bad that the authorities close the roads

You couldn’t play high level cricket or tennis in the rain even if you wanted to. |

Absolutely buzzing! Picking up my tickets today for Monday night away at the King Power. New ground for me and my lad and having drinks with my boss who's a Leicester season ticket holder before the game.
Just joined the Fab fantasy league too. If anyone missed that thread check it out and get involved.
More asses for me to whoop! 🍑😁 |

I love the way sky and most sport outlets only think that people only care about the premiership! When it's a competition with only a few teams who have almost unlimited funds who stand a chance of winning the title, the day they bring in wage caps will be interesting, although the likes of man city will just get a sister club to buy a player and loan to city with them only paying 10% of the wages.
I support a team in the championship and as much as a promotion would be nice financially (while in the premiership) the thought of being hammered week in week out and the highlight of a season is finishing just above relegation places doesn't exactly excite me. Then if you do get relegated you have a massive wage bill that puts you at the risk of ffp breaches. |

"Looking forward to the championship, means we get to have a derby day too."
Good bunch you Blades fans! Was at the last game of the season. Party atmosphere and great friendly banter with some of your lot. Just how it should be! |

"I'm looking forward to seeing Man City answer the 115 charges and if found guilty get a decent charge.
How do you punish a club with unlimited funds though?" They will get away with it has they can afford top notch lawyers plus powers that be won't want to rock the boat money talks end of the day |

I cannot think of a season I have looked forward to less than this one. Got both a home and away season ticket, and can see me offloading these regularly.
VAR, the media’s insistence on concentrating on “The Big 6” (which includes a club that’s won nothing in 16 years), people forgetting that there is football outside of the Premiership, rising ticket prices, removal of concessions - the reasons for my dissatisfaction grow by the day.
On the positive side, off to see Hartlepool next week at Tamworth, and our U21s are playing at Matlock and York City early next year, so a couple of new grounds to look forward to. |

Let's not forgetting the constant sky shifting of games to suit them and the constant fuck you to the supporters who pay lots to attend. |

"I’m a Partick thistle fan , in the Scottish championship, play offs the last few years , hopefully get promotion this season 🇧🇪"
I thought this thread was about football? The only thing Patrick will win is the worst mascot competition! Lol |

I support a team in the Premier league but football has become so boring at the top level around Europe, it's normally the same one or 2 teams that will their leagues, I'd rather watch lower level football |

Don't like premier league. Prefer national league as you never really know where the ball is going to end up when kicked. Add an element of excitement about it. |

"Villa fan. Good result yesterday but get rid of VAR. "
Thought your lot looked very good yesterday. Onana is a good purchase (and it still frustrates me that he chose Everton over us, as he was the player that might have pushed us on even further that year).
WHU will be ok this year, once the new players bed in. Can already see more attacking intent, and Kudus was just a joy to watch 2nd half. |

Was a good match we should have put it to bed before half time. Good result though as normal get beaten away at WHU. |
