What do you think of this series?

If you haven’t seen it let me summarise. Spoiler alerts….

He solves the crimes ‘his way’, each season by indulging in a mystical experience with a suspect, and having women ch*ke him, stamp on his fingers and anally abuse him with a huge dildo. He does the entire show with an expression like he has a really bad case of wind.

It’s a interesting take on the crime genre. Series 6 isn’t out yet but I hear that he must astral travel to his previous life while wearing e-stim nipple clamps. And he still doesn’t manage to trump.

I just binge-watched the first few seasons of this the other week. I stopped after the first episode of the series where he goes on holiday and follows the woman who he says jumped in the sea. I was cringing on his behalf too much to enjoy it.

Incidentally if you like Bill Pullman as an eccentric genius, he's very good in the Cold War thriller The Coldest Game on Netflix.

I liked the first season. Struggled with the second. Thought the third was terrible. Gave up right there.

Yeah the third one didn't have enough plot strands to sustain it.

If you stick with that one he has a pagan witchcraft ritual performed on him

In the sea to better understand the case, and gets chok*d by an artist during sex and then a strange dream about his mum

Violently forcing him to eat a large bowl of cereal.

These experiences invariably lead him to to the truth that that the force is corrupt and a fishing boat is snuggling immigrants in .
