Due to a change of circumstances I find myself with a week off work- kid free and no plans. Was thinking about taking myself off somewhere - where would you go on not a massive budget?

we met quite a few single people on a all inclusive holiday in Mexico. That may be worth a try.

I'd probably look at Europe in a half board hotel.

Failing that I'd see if I could get some kind of rail card and go round the U.K. by train

Or stay at home but do things I don't normally do

Lanarkshire is a shithole this time of year .. 🤣

I really like using skyscanner, just search flights anywhere and see if you can get cheap flights to a random place. I went to Poland and Germany last year and both were great ! 👍🏻

Try a company called Journee. You tell them a budget and duration, a few likes and dislikes, and they plan a trip for you. They tell you which airport to go to and what time to be there, but the rest is a mystery until you open your secret envelope.

I’ve got 4 days in Prague for about 250 quid. Just be smart with flights and use air b and b.

My favourite city in the world, plenty to do and the exchange rate is fantastic as they aren’t on the euro.

"Camping! "

I was thinking the same, if it's not at a mega busy seaside resort.

House sitting may work for some and get paid

Unused student accommodations? It used to be available

Lots of UK places off the beaten track are interesting.

Romania? Could be beautiful, interesting and cheaper than hotspots

My teams are based in Brasov, Romania; my journey from the airport regularly takes me through what I can only describe as the most beautiful scenery, akin to Bladerunner like landscapes, orders of magnitude bigger and greener; and In the winter Whiter!

I couldn’t encourage Romania enough, the people, the place…everything. Great choice.

Stay home, feet up, binge watch your favourite box sets and be a couch potato.

That's what I would do.

No need for wretched airport queues, little expense and everything you need is already there

Sight seeing; cheap flight to Belguim or Germany and using their cheap train network travel around and sight see. Ghent in Belguim is stunning, Munich is great

EYE PERSONALLY would go to New York and stay with family or Jamaica and do the same.

If that wasn’t an option I would probably go to Manchester or Edinburgh.

There are scenes at the end of the Directors Cut which are supposed to imply Deckard and Rachael escaping through a forested landscape. A piece of trivia about them; They are actually unused footage shot by Kubrick for the opening of The Shining".

Essex

Grab a tent and you’re free to go anywhere.

Obviously you’ve got New Forest nearby or further afield, southwest coast, Wales, Shropshire, Peak District etc. some lovely walks, views, scenery.
