What are your thoughts on people that like boating? Do you like boating? If so what sort? Rowing? Sailing? Tug boating? Are boat shoes sexy?
I don't mind a little gentle rowing myself, though my stroke isn't once what it was and my arms do hurt at the end. Always nice to finish together with a young lady, docking as she backs you in. |

"If by boating you mean cruise ships… I’m very into boating "
I've never tried it but a work colleague has just booked a med cruise and it sounds tempting. Can you do an adults only one? |

Technically it's a sib (soft inflatable boat) but it has a hard deck with an inflatable keel. Means I can chuck it in the van inflate on site put the engine on and off we go. Means I don't need a trailer which I have nowhere to store |

My ex lived on a boat at a marina. It was like a Wendy House to me. I loved cooking up banquets from the tiny galley kitchen. He had greasy fingers and smelt of diesel which is very masculine.
In the summer, we would invite swinger friends onboard for the weekend and sail to a quiet creek somewhere and be totally naked, lazy sex on deck. |

Pair of boaties here started wakeboarding around the late 90’s then dinghy racing around England now sailing a yacht on Windermere along with catamaran in southern Spain for a while, love being around water, currently enjoying a G&T on the back of the boat, suns out, music on watching people enjoy themselves and the sway of the water, what’s not to love? |

"I love boats, the water is my happy place and I’ll have a 60ft wide beam in two years as my home 😍
What exactly is a beam chum?"
So it’s a canal boat but it’s double the width of a narrow boat and more height.
Easy 2 bedrooms and a nice sized kitchen and living space too.

Does a bright pink flamingo pedalo on the lake near my house count?
If not the last boat I went on was in Magaluf when I was around 25.
Started off well and by time I got off around 2am I was sick in multiple colours from all the cocktails! 🫣🤢 |

Cruise liners has been the more recent adventures.
And yes, to answer someone above - Virgin cruises are over 18 only - no children.
I could just go on a cruise now…a few cocktails and soaking up the sun. A barge would be just as lovely though 😛

Am very envious, I nearly bought one a couple of years back, but got a house instead. Still regret it |

Now that's what I call a goal!! "
Using the redundancy pay out to fund it and I’ll be bloody happy living on that 😍 |

After finishing with senior rugby
I went to learn to Row for a rowing club on Trent side Nottingham
I absolutely loved rowing and skulling - brilliant team sport - loved being on the water and competition in head and regatta racing … still kept an association with it even now |

Love this thread! I started sailing when I was 13 and never stopped since until I came to live in England. Now moved from sailing to rowing which is good as well but my heart will always be on a sailing boat.
If there is anyone around here that has a boat I would love to join!
Also always wanted to go on a narrow boat! Is in my bucket list haha |

In spite of growing up in Birmingham, I've quite a history of boats. My parents had a holiday home in Padstow, so I spent summer there and learned to sail on the Camel estuary.
I stopped sailing but a few years ago my nephew said he wanted to do his RYA day skipper exam. So I went with him to Portugal, then afterwards we took a time share on a 36' yacht from the same company we did the course with, 3 weeks a year basically.
Other than that I'm a keen SCUBA diver, so I spend 2 or 3 weeks a year on dive boats, Maldives mostly, but occasionally Egypt and Malta.
In my garage, I have a Fireball dinghy nearly restored, but that will probably be next year now, if I get time. |

Sailing toppers and catamarans, as well as a 40ft dart around Denmark in 2002.
I love a cruise as well "
