Listening to Radio SX this morning where there is a debate about pet names for both genders.
"There were boys training for football. .. The ball came closer to me. ... Onr of the players shouted 'hows your football skills' 'not very good but I can throw you the ball over'. 'Can you pass us the ball please love. As I was walking away I was thinking If I was 30 years younger would I have even accepted that, let alone consider it normal and engaged back?"
Now as you can guess with a courteous glance they I am male so a lot of written here may not have the same impact as of a female has written it.
Also the terms of endearment debate is as overdone on fab as the girth vs length debate
So what I want to know is what time due demographics plsy in the acceptability of terns of endearment for both male and females. |

The general concensus of the small amount of people who rang in was that they found it sweet and even used it allot themselves with petite they know. But they found young man conceding and funny. |

Only one person calls me 'love' and that's my neighbour. People don't often use terms of endearment towards me. I don't mind if they do as long as it is a term of endearment and not meant sarcastically or to patronise or belittle |

"Love is used to address anyone and everyone up here, no matter age or gender. I am called love by checkout people, old fellas in the street, and so is Mr KC. It's just a northern thing for us. "
Yup this ☝️😍 luv |

My mum says "good girl" alot to service staff.
I used to be mortified and try to tell her it was condescending. But tbh it was said with genuineness and from what I could see always taken as such.
So ya demographics of the person using it and the person it's been used towards as well as setting and tone all play a part. |
