"I love books, but I do have a Kindle I take on holiday with me its the only time I use it."
Same here!
I read at least 2 books a week and I refuse to use a kindle, unless on holiday.
Books are amazing. The smell, the feel |

Same, it's why I had to buy a Kindle, just going away for a week trying to decide which one or two books to take with me was taking longer than the packing! |

Both. I love the look and feel of a real book. But I love the one-handed reading 😅, that no one can see the cover 😇 and front-lit screen of my kindle. As well as having a whole library at my fingertips. |

I totally agree.... Books are amazing, but when you consider that you can fit a whole library on a device like a kindle (other devices are available), I had to ask myself, have books had their day?
I note, with interest, they are making a resurgence.... Similar to music on Vinyl.
Whatever next?
Writing with a quill?
The return of the C30/60/90 cassettes? |

I agree.
There is a place for all three.
A good friend of mine is severely dyslexic.
He admits that the whole world of literature has opened up for him since discovering audio books. He was even able to get a very high mark when re did his English Literature exams again, 40 years on from when he first took them.
He did it to show people he wasn't the idiot they thought he was. |

Totally get this. Some printed texts seem outdated/ are obsolete (yellow pages, printed newspaper etc) However, there’s something lovely about a physical book - reading the blurb, flicking through the pages, the cover also helps in its selection. Some books also have extra features to help the reader to refer to a map or family tree in a novel etc. Need to bear in mind luggage limits when heading on holiday with my book selection though! |

However, news papers are very handy.

I prefer paper but I physically have no more room for books in either house so Kindle for life now.
No greater treat than book shopping though
Makes travelling so much easier too when you're a fast reader |

"One of the reasons I gave up buying books is because I would lend them out and they would come back with a broken spine.
It makes me angry just thinking about it actually."
At least you get them back.
Paper, big time. Paper and audio for me.
Nothing wrong with ebooks, just doesn't appeal to me. |
