I don't know really but I agree that sometimes threads seem to be started over the most mundane things. A jokey lighthearted thread is one thing but threads like 'I've just opened a can of beans' I think are pretty pointless |

I think most forum posters have days. weeks when they feel like starting a thread and other times when they are either in stealth mode or contributing to existing posts. I love posting a new thread when one comes into my mind and then again I enjoy contributing to threads by other people.
TBH it is what makes the forums so interesting - that unpredicatble combination of posters, topics and the way the threads go.
