We had them, I felt awful as our first cat had never had them, when we got the second she was riddled with them, took us weeks to sort but we got some cans from pets at home (we did our research) got the cats in a carrier each, Rubik blasted the whole house while I waited in the car with them, we took them on a ride in the car, came back opened all the windows, went on another ride with them and since then, touch wood we haven't had any x |

I had a fleaball fall off a cat once I feeding some milk too... Was glad I spotted that in time!
I looked after a stray for a while a few years back and house got riddled with fleas... Covered in bites. I ended up redecorating the entire house from top to bottom to make sure I got everything. I haven't let an animal back in the house since. |

...Only difference is it's about ten times the price as regular milk...

There's some clever light things with sticky discs. They mimic the heat given off by a pet.
I got one the other day from Amazon. Turn it on in the evening, put it on the floor and it attracts the fleas and other insects which then get stuck.
No chemicals, no odour and it definitely works. |

My ex had a dog. Visited my place once with the dog. 6 months maybe a year later I felt something bite my leg.
I grabbed it as I'd realised it was a flea. But this fucker was the Harry Houidini of fleas.
I tried to crush him between my fingers. Didn't work.
Plan B. Drown the fucker: So put him underwater with my fingers and the Michael Phelps of fleas starts doing back stroke in the glass and I swear doing a helicopter.
Anyway, around thirty minutes later and several attempts at drowning. I finally managed to euthanize the little b'stard.  |

Only ever had them once after missing a flea treatment .. You're going to have to go at it daily and go over the same areas again and again. The stuff from the vet was actually cheaper than the stuff from pets at home.
Focus on areas where cat mostly sits but fleas go into nooks and crannies so eggs can be anywhere. Spray along skirting boards, sides of any stairs, take cushions off sofas, go into the folds of their beds, do your duvet, pillow and sheet, leave it for the day before washing.
It's an idea to do it in the morning, leave the house, hoovering when you get back, and repeat overnight. A 40 degree was doesn't kill them a 60 degree one does. Be sure when you empty your hoover to spray the roller. |

A drop of washing up liquid helps to drown them. It reduces the surface tension and the flea will sink to the bottom. |

need to keep up to date with flea /tick treatment same as worming ive never seen a flea on any of our dogs we've always had dogs .. rescue dogs all bully breeds so very short hair so that makes it easier
thing is with cats you just dont know where they have been so guess they will be harder..
alway check what your giving your pets some treatments are just plain nasty ...
i also use alternative products too again easy with dogs not so with cats ... |

Order some flea bombs they are brilliant but you will need to take your cat out of your flat for a few hours and you will need to get your cat treated too. Not tried it but they say pouring salt around the edges of the carpets works as it dehydrates the fleas and they die x |

Yep I use soapy water when I comb my girls between treatments. I've 7 cats so keeping them, and the house, a flea free zone is a pretty pricey and time consuming labour of love  |

Maybe the chemicals and shit in expensive 'cat foods' causes the animals more problems than actual 'real food' that cats have eaten since time began?
