Aerosmith 1970-2024

Legendary rock band Aerosmith have made the decision to retire. They had a tour that was postponed but now completely cancelled after their statement revealed that Steve Tyler's vocal injury is so severe he'll never sound the same again ☹️

Has anyone seen them and what's your favourite songs? Lean On and Shut Up and Dance, for me.

I had tickets to see them in 2020. We won’t talk about that 😪

They were the last band on my bucket list to see

I was that way with Motorhead. Either didn't have money or told myself I'd see them another time. Then Lemmy passed away

Not a band I’ve had on my radar so apart from chart stuff not ever listened to them (I do have a Steve Perry album which I enjoy). However I know they have a big following so it’s always sad when this happens ( I’m a huge Maiden fan, I know it’s coming but dread the day they announce that that’s it). These Bands have been around as long as we have, we grew up with them, and we all forget how old we all are now! They will be missed, which is the biggest compliment you can give. 🤟🤟🤟

Worthing

Seen them many times over the years.

Always prefered there 70s output, The toys in the attic album in particular.

Big 10 inch could be a sound track to this site 🤣

Don’t know much apart from their hits really.

An ex stuck on a greatest hits a few years back and I was surprised at how many hits they’d had and that I knew a lot of them.

I’ve seen them a couple of times , the early stuff (first five or six albums ) rates highest for me . Toys in the Attic is probably my favourite album of theirs , from that album there is a few favourite songs , Sweet Emotion and Uncle Salty , Draw the line and Back in the Saddle are great from others .

Like Steve Tyler as a harmonica player too

I saw Motorhead about 15 years ago at Mcr Apollo. It's the loudest gig I've ever been to.

Edinburgh (She/Her)

Wembley stadium before it was all done up (1990s) Aerosmith supported by, lenny kravis, black crows, stereophonics.

A day to remember for many reasons.

Absolutely. Its still mental to me that Rolling Stones and the surviving Beatles are still making music and touring.

Coleford

Saw them twice, 1997 and 2007. 97 had Stereophonics, Black Crowes and Lenny Kravitz in support. One of the best gigs I've ever been to.

Reading

I have not seen Aerosmith in person live. Do have live recording.

My opinion is that I have been very lucky to see groups live from when I was 18 onwards . Yes several are actually still touring . I was at the first Monsters of Rock at Donnington. Perhaps not with original line up. Like Rolling Stones, Motley Crue and others. Will in about fifty years time be any of the new groups now .Be still performing live ?
