In a message to a friend I confused them by making an awful analogy about my dislike for hollandaise sauce and now I’m afraid he thinks I like cum by the litres.

Found this on the web hope it helps 😂.
There was a farmer who had a dog and Bingo was his name-o.” In the first version, the dog is definitely named Bingo because of the pronoun “his.” In this case, Bingo is the antecedent of the pronoun His, or in other words, the proper name of the noun that the pronoun is referring back to. |

Did that a couple of times (not with your mother btw) and will never do it again (possibly as my mother died a few years ago - but if she had not...)
Honestly, she thought self catering meant home made sarnies for lunch and macaroni cheese or something some home cooked meal in the apartment for the evening. In my view self catering definitely means at least one meal per day in a restaurant
