So I noticed a thread on the lies people tell on here.
Any other blokes noticed how many women say they're smaller than they really are? Like what's that about?😂😂😂

Because, like the men who think lying about their height will make them seem more like a big strong protector they think women want and by the time they meet they might just think fuck it I may as well, some women want to project that dainty damsel image they think men want for the same reason. |

Interesting. I never thought of it like that. The thought came to me after a meet with a lady recently who said she's 5'4 on her profile. We were the same height and I am most definitely 5'9 😂.
It created an amusing thought process in my head during the meet. "Like, I wonder if I'd lied and I was shorter whether she would have just left or said no thanks not for me?"

I’m 5’4” honestly and truly. I even lost an inch of height over the last two years, and have embraced it. Howevrr, if you meet me you’ll see me as 5’9” or taller because I am not meeting without shoes. I also have long legs for being so short so people automatically assume I’m much taller. One guy I once met insisted I wasn’t honest. I had to take off my shoes for him to see the height difference between me with shoes and without.

Very possible, I did the reverse For years I told everyone I was 5’10” as never measured and guessed at that height till was measured at hospital as just under 6’2” (lost an inch since then) |

I reckon we are all not very good at knowing what a hieght actually looks like!
6ft is actually a lot taller than 5’ 8. Although 4 inches doesn’t sound a lot, it is.
Am I right girls? 😏
And the same with women from a guys point of view. I’ve been surprised when someone is 5’6 and they’re almost looking me in the eyes, and one particular girl feels a lot shorter than I imagined when I first saw her.

It’s weird, I think people assume I’m taller when we I meet them, I’m 5’1”, but I’m either in platforms or wedges, so roughly 5’5”, I usually have to remove my shoes to prove I’m short, then incoming with all the ‘aren’t you a cute shorty’ comments… 😒 |

I have lost count of the times I have been on first dates or socials from here with guys who claim they are taller than they are.
If they say they are 5’10 or 5’11 then often they are more like 5’8 if they say they are over 6ft then usually they are telling the truth… thats my experience anyway.
I don’t mind someone being only slightly taller than me but if I turn up and you have lied it really grinds my gears and won’t go any further. |

For the longest time I thought I was 5ft 2, I can't remember when I got measured, possibly when I was pregnant the first time and I was 5ft 1. Can't remember if I'm 5ft 2 or 1 on the profile as it's a habit lol (I wouldn't mind but this was 24 years ago 😂) |

It's just same old same old but different lie, instead of age or weight etc it's height.
It all boils down to people what to project a certain thing. Why? Possibly because they feel they will get more of a chance of talking to people, meeting people etc. I don't know the reason why, as if you do meet you're likely to be caught out and your meet may start to wonder what else have you been lying about? |
