Not being judgey in any way to either TVs or TSs but I don't really see them as the same.
I'd be quite keen to have some fun with a TS but, as lovely as I'm sure they are, TVs don't really float my boat sexually.
As such, it's often difficult to find the content and profiles of TSs without having to filter through the TVs too. |

No I wouldn't say so, I mean post op surely they go into the women category anyway.
Just like the other categories there are different degrees of attractiveness, keep on sifting OP you'll get there |

So how are they going to be separated..? what's to stop someone who's a TV listing themselves as a ts... this is the reason it's never going to work and why after countless forum posts.. nothing has been changed. |

I think that CD/TV should be separate from TS.
I certainly wouldn't categorise them as the same. Agree that post op, you can just use the man / woman option, but you do have TS who can't / haven't had full surgery but still live full time in Thier chosen gender. Why shouldn't they have a definitive category. |

Men, Women, Couples and Other.
As an other you can just add to your profile what you identify as. This can be any part of the LGBTQI community or if you’re non binary etc…
As a comment above what stops me from saying I’m a TS or any other member doing the same.
It’s all mute anyway as it’ll never happen. |

I think there could be some more defined terms, especially for Guys who dress as a kink. As for TS/TV, I’d imagine that the problem would be that different people class themselves differently, in different ways, and with out clear definitions then the individual descriptions wouldn’t actually help much.
Having said all that, if someone looks sexy, then the description/term doesn’t mean much anyway. |

I echo what others have said - how does one police it?
What's to stop someone identifying as whichever category they feel like, whether you feel they should be in a different group or not?
I feel that when it comes to this question, no one asking it is that interested in gender identity, but just wants to separate out what they imagine to be trans like they've seen in pornos from the rest. |

"It would be helpful to have three separate categories:-
CDs
TVs (Which could include pre-op MTF transgender)
TSs"
i understand. just think of all the times youve heard about a single posing as a couple.
people could be misled. is that possible? |

Actually I rather think that you are right, as all the other suggestions of classification are open to individual interpretations and cannot really be definitive. |

Dare I suggest it's highly unlikely the reason you aren't able to get meets with your porn-star fantasy trans girl with bouncy tits & a big dick, is due to there being an abundance of crossdressers clogging up the system.

Indeed. Or why you'd group a pre-op trans person with transvestism ... |

Post-op, pre-op. They can be in a transwoman category. |

I don't fully understand the difference between TV and CD, but transgender (not TS imo) feels like it comes from a very different place.
And how many people wouldn choose the "wrong" category to worry about policing. There are enough other policing issues to worry about here.... |

Oh this again.....
There is a way to prove a difference. If your, like me, a "true" TS, I have every thing in my real name. Shock horror, yes every thing. This site could ask for a picture of a driving licence or passport. This is not unusual in our world when wanting to join a club.
Now, will fab-swingers do this ??? PMSL, offcourse they won't. They couldn't careless.
P.S I'm not a ******* TV |

Isn't a person that is pre op still a TS, whether it is MTF or FTM. |

"There needs to be far more categories, at the very least to have a non binary, intersex, gender non conforming options
Trans women are women, trans men are men
No."
Personally, if I disagree with a thread and have an opinion that won't make anyone any the happier, I just tend to think, if I can't say anything nice, then I'll just back page and pop into a different thread, but that's just me. |

"Other" seems crude in most circumstances and I wouldn't be ok with it on, say, an intake form for a doctor. But here, I think it would be difficult to get into that kind of detail if it were all in categories. "Other, please specify" would probably please more people than the current system (which lumps a lot of very different categories together). Both people looking for a subset in the current category, and those who want more space to express their identity. |

The most vocally homophobic/transphobic ones are often projecting some personal insecurities. |

OK so I'm not in anyway affected by this really.
But it does seem to me that it might be quite important for a trans person to be able to identify themselves separately from cross dressers/TVs.
Someone misusing this isn't a reason not to do it.
And having an "other" category seems to me like it could be an insulting half-assed measure that achieves nothing beyond what is already in place. |

I actually think it's an improvement on the dated catch-all we have now. Your mileage may vary. |

Yeah of course they are, imagine getting so angry about someone else's existence for no reason |

Maybe it is, I as I said I've not got the best position to comment from.
But it just seems a rephrase that doesn't give any clearer identity to someone. And "other" just feels like a terrible way for someone who's identity has played such a big part in their life journey to have to have to use |

I get that. Upsides and downsides to any options. |

Just because someone isn't taking synthetic hormones, getting implants/surgeries etc doesn't mean he cannot identify as trans (yet the world may consider them 'a mere': TV or CD) (just a man in woman's clothes).
It's a (very) broad category... shemale, femboi, tgirl, genderfluid, transexual, transgender, genderqueer, non-binary (etc, etc), and my opinion is that I think it's best that people just say they fall into that: 'trans'/spectrum/category somewhere, and then they can elaborate more on their profiles. From what I've seen over many years; the guys that want to stick it in them don't care what they call themselves anyway and probably don't know the difference. |

"All should be welcome on the site. But there is another site called fabguys . Should the TV and TS brigade go on there..?"
It's been an eyeopener for me this past few decades but...
Gay guys like masculinity.
If I go to a gay bar I get no attention from the: 'Ewwww' brigade (when they see anything remotely fem at all'.
Yet when I go to a straight bar it's a different story altogether.
Straight men in regular (straight) bars have told me several times:
'You are the most feminine woman in here' and have preferred my company.
...And when I look around the bar and see some of the women waddling about like men in their baggy pants, swigging back their bodyweight in beer (pints), cursing and generally coming over as unladylike - I see their point.
I think the gender roles nowadays are so screwed up that a lot of people have decided to overlook what sex someone is and just go where they feel led. - Me included. |

Personally I think there should be a category for me!
Like a “Linda Simmons tranny” category. Then anyone who is interested in me can come visit and the rest of you lot can go do one!
That’ll keep everyone happy… if you don’t like me or what I am you can skip on by and neither of us have wasted any time with the other!
Oh! Hang on! On a sight for swingers where you are supposed to mix and meet and chat and interact and explore, that would kind of be a bit insular, a bit selfish, if I wanted that I should really make my own web page or something and avoid social sites
Hmm life is just not fair FOR ME |

This is a common thread in here!! … and I think the answer is all of the posts above!
…. even in here there is no consensus or agreement on what is the criteria to be ‘labelled’ TS/TV/CD, so what someone views as a TS … someone else my view as a TV… it really is such a wide spectrum. I have my own definition in my mind .. which I know differs from some of the posts above.
I think so long as you’re honest in your profile with what you believe you are, then let others decide for themselves.
Yet again we are hung up on labels …. Would the term ‘TG’ not cover such a wide spectrum???

Plenty of CD/TV and TS are straight and see themselves as heterosexual and never had a same sex attraction. Can they stay ?
The site welcomes all and is LGBTQI friendly and I would guess the majority of members are happy enough to welcome that diversity. |

I know what you mean! I have lots of gay male friends (as well as lesbian friends, and lots of heterosexual male and female ones) and their friendship with me isn’t remotely sexual. It’s men who perceive themselves as heterosexual who find us, as well as real women, sexually attractive. |

There is actually more threads on fabguys about not wanting ts/tv/cds on the site at all. They are even advocating it should be for days only and even men describing themselves as bisexual shouldn't be on it.
I have found Fabswingers much more tolerant and inclusive and welcoming than fabguys.
I would like a different category for cds too from ts/tv, but like as been said it would be difficult to police.. |

Why on earth would a transwoman go to Fabguys? "
Exactly; I don’t have any illusions but I want to be treated like a woman, not as a gay man in women’s clothes. I don’t have any male sexual urges so I’m not of much interest to gay men! |
