I think I did 'know' in my 20s, certainly 30s.
I had less of the understanding and vocabulary to explain what I felt. I certainly took my time to understand demisexuality and poly.
However, I was in open relationships from early 20s. Then a monogamous relationship till late 20s, which was more about nesting and having children. We still openly talked about attraction to other people, and as we got more time it moved into swinging as a couple.
Perhaps the conversations would have been smoother. Possibly not though, I tend to be drawn to women with feisty temperaments and often a degree of territoriality.
I've had some amazing relationships where we've explored and grown together, as partners and individuals. I hope I can say the same in 10 years time. |

No,because as already said above this isn't a lifestyle choice for me. It's nothing more than a hobby.
I also had zero knowledge of anything like this in my 20s, 30s, or 40s and when I signed up here aged 52 I had very little sexual experience and therefore nothing to compare and contrast with or consider doing differently. |
