I struggle with the regions Fab lists when you’re looking for meets. They’re quite vague.
For example, where’s Milton Keynes?
I don’t mean literally, I know where to find it on a map. But in Fab world, which region is Milton Keynes in? South East? South West? Greater London? I haven’t a clue … |

What are the 12 regions of the UK map?
This comprises Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland as individual regions, and England divided into 9 separate regions. These are London, North East, North West, Yorkshire, East Midlands, West Midlands, South East, East of England and South West.

There is no East Anglia. However when adding a meet you get options of Post Code and Location. The areas are just too big

We are East Midlands on here, which in my head would be probably Leicester - we are near Cleethorpes which is East Lincolnshire but that doesn’t exist on FAB,
I mean East Yorkshire would be more appropriate than East Midlands but here we are, nowhere near the Midlands

I am not surprised unless you get a train it takes you an hour to get out of there!!
About an hour to the airport from mine and then an hour to get to the city centre or back out of it!! |

The regions take it in turns to adopt Milton Keynes, it's only fair to share the burden.
I always find it interesting that the North West is actually the middle of the UK but somewhere else is called the Midlands.
Why doesn't England get included in the descriptors like Wales and Scotland? I mean try saying Ireland without the Northern preface see how far that gets you. Actually, that goes down like a lead balloon in Wales too.

I live in East Yorkshire, but have a South Yorkshire (Doncaster) post code, and I work in North Yorkshire, but 15 miles south of York  |

I have to say that I agree with you. I've never really posted an 'Add a Meet'. Well, I did, last Saturday for the MLS, ostensibly as a general broadcast to those who were attending, as opposed to actually looking for meet. But anyway, I was flummoxed with the regions and not quite clear on the locales. I considered posting one yesterday whilst in Sheffield but still none the wiser. |
