When I was younger, I had a couple of d*unken fumbles with two of my cousins (1 female, 1 male)
I also had a MFM with a male cousin and my then GF
I regret them all - it's something I wished never happened and I don't like the fact that we are alll now in our late 40's and early 50's that we have a link that, as family, we shouldn't

I'm going to go against the majority line here. I've got two female cousins, just a few years younger than me.
One I definitely would. In fact I'd work at making it happen if I thought it might take place.

It is an interesting debate. There is no legal reason why one couldnt have sexual relationship with a cousin. It is a society concept that it is wrong to do it.
Which for me is where the interest lies. As we all here are, or tend to be on the edges of what society deem normal when it comes to our sexual behaviour, practises and partners. So yes, I do find the responses of people interesting.

Cousins is a very weird situation. While I'm not particularly for it, where does the line actually get drawn? Where do cousins actually stop being cousins?
For the large majority of people it will come down to exactly what you have said, growing up together and seeing them as close as siblings. In that sense it's a "you problem" it's how you view them being more than just cousins.
Quite a lot of people have sexual and romantic relationships with cousins they never even knew about or existed having a family connection with.
I went through all of high school, as good friends with a girl (nothing more) without knowing we were cousins. Not a single clue! Wasn't until near the end of college we found out.
Best get those background checks and family trees looked at now, because for a lot of us out there the chances we have been intimate with a bloodline relation of some sort is high. |

It depends. If it is the only time it's happened in your family any ensuing kids should be fine. If however you are from a community when it's a regular occurrence then the rate of recessive diseases shoots up. If you are not planning on having kids then go for it. |
