Met a friend in the Market Square last weekend as my wife had told me She was going for a tattoo, I asked her if she’d had it done she lifted her skirt up to her knickers to show me a leg tattooed with a beautiful lions head, I actually didn’t notice of the tattoo but I did take notice of her leg and lacy knickers |

Just please avoid these 3 phrases
Didn't that hurt?
What do you think, of course it did!
Do you know that's on your body for life.
Really? And theres me trying to get a refund on my lynx Africa shower gel.
Aren't you worried about what it will look like when you're older.
No ill either be senile or sitting in an old man pub with other tattooed weirdos |

I had zero interest in tattoos on other people and certainly not in getting one until after I turned 50 and had a couple of life changing and life affirming experiences.
I had my first that year and added to it a couple of years later.
It's part of me now and reinforces who I am so I have no regrets and my hope is to add a third related tattoo at some stage.

I only have three, but they aren't little
I've been tattooed 4 times as #4 was a cover up of #3 which didn't turn out as I wanted
My first took 12 hours
I don't regret the ones I have now
I kinda like the feeling of being tattooed
That said, I don't think I will have more
The 'addiction' has waned |

I (M) ha e 2. Both have a feep meaning.
One is a dragon on my right calf. I got it after a very messy marriage that took me 2 years to mentally recover from. It symbolises strength and knowledge.
The other is my dog ellies paw print with her name, the date we adopted her from rescue and the date she crossed the rainbow bridge.
Ideally i would like a tattoo to comemorate my military service and 1 to commemorate completing the 2023 london marathon.
C on the other hand currently has none. |

Tattoos are like souvenirs of your life, just like everything else you love or hate as your life goes on.
You shouldn't hate them or grow out of them at any point.
You just carry on with life and accept them being there. |

"I don’t hate my 20+ year old tattoos, I don’t notice them most of the time, I do wish I’d thought about what I got a bit more carefully"
Most people feel this way years after their first tattoo |

"I love them on people but I could never get one.
I have an impression that there is a high tendency of growing out tattoos and hating them later. "
If I'd known back in the 80s that they'd become incredibly trendy I probably would have saved me money..but it's too late now job done.... I'm waiting for them to become untrendy again so I can get some more without having to wait six months for an appointment... |

I think that's what I'm worried about too. I think tattoos do look good but I don't know what to get first or I'll feel the same way about it in 10 years as I do now |

I have around 20 and don’t regret any yet. Sure, there’s a few that I might get covered eventually with something different, but mainly because I got them done at 19 and the quality wasn’t great.
Actually booked in to get 2 more in a few weeks |
