Thanks. Great watching a load of crazy Irish guys who have each been given a wooden axe and one ball between them - what could possibly go wrong?!! ??

(No offence intended, as I do appreciate they are elite and skilled sportsmen.)

I am glad I came across this thread, was looking forward to this game all week but honestly had forgotten about it today until I just seen this. I’m living in Mayo but rooting for Cork

Graham Taylor made the Watford team watch a hurling match once when they were in a relegation battle and asked them all to sum up what they had just witnessed in one word.

He went around the room and got replies such as, fast, mad, dangerous, crazy, skilful.......

He then told them not one of them had used the word he was looking for.......UNPAID.

For those of you, who have never seen the game and maybe curious because of this thread, all I could advise as a person from England, give the game a chance and you will or should love it and be amazed by the skills involved, surely has to be the fastest game in the world
