"But did it really happen we will never be 100 percent sure."
Given the base of the Eagle lander is still there and has been photographed several times by different nations only a complete flat earther would still think that these days.
Here in the first two responses just shows where modern society is going wrong. |

I’m not sure it’s going wrong, people have forgotten how to engage brain, think and research.
We use the internet to look up information, when Facebook/insta/snapchat whatever delivers information people have disengaged the BS filter. It’s unfortunately why there is a rise in populism, a lot of people believe what they are told without bothering to look it up.
Have disproved so many friends “news” as fake news over the years and show them source of fake when it started circulating etc, and the proof that counters it, unfortunately it’s too late.
Can only hope the next generations are taught how to use internet to fact check for themselves. |

Ah, but they realised after faking it that they would have had to leave visible traces on the moon, so they made us get vaccinated with stuff that would make us think that... etc etc etc or sone other similar bilge.
Yes, 55 years ago it was all a cause for such optimism; now space travel is pretty much about jollies for the ridiculously rich or about a delusion that mankind can save itself by setting off to the stars in a tin can. |

Specifically, satire. We are doomed now. Humans will be pooping in their hands and wiping it on each others faces, in a couple of centuries. It will be the pinnacle of entertainment. |

You said "on step", I was just asking which one they sat you on.
Now wondering if you had been naughty to be sat on the step, and so you were not able to watch the moon landing as a result! |

A space fact I like is that if there was no vacuum and we could hear the sun from earth it’d be at a constant of 100 decibels, like being at a gig or standing next to a passing freight train |

I don't think lack of logic and reasoning are necessarily generational |

"But did it really happen we will never be 100 percent sure."
With a good telescope you can see the landing sites, it happened.
The big question is, is it worth putting a colony on the moon. What could we bring back? Is it a low gravity place to build big ships to go to Mars. Could we survive on Mars or the Moon? Would we get bored swinging with a limited number of others? |

"Here is a poser if Neil Armstrong was the first man to step on the moon whoem put the camera on"
The lander was built with a camera mounted externally on a landing leg to monitor the exit ladder. It wasn’t ON the moon.

The alternative viewpoint is that all the talk and Sci-fi movies and billionaire aspirations of leaving the earth and setting up a colony on a space station or on the moon or another planet to escape. The place where we live now is perfect, atmosphere, water, minerals, food sources, temperature, gravity, van Allen belts deflecting solar radiation… They never talk about looking after our home, the Earth, the perfect ‘space station’ on which we already live… |

Have you actually been there and seen
It yourself ? Or did you just hear about it on tv and chose to believe? You were only three so it’s ok I spose but probably best to fact check things. It diddht really happen, the moon is made of cheese and impossible to land on |

A fantastic achievement.
That left loads of evidence behind that proves it happened.
“If they could do it back then, why can’t they do it now?”
Easy, because no one wants to risk their life as much as they did back then.

I agree it was an amazing achievement but I think there would be a queue that would stretch over the horizon of people who would willingly risk going to the moon.
Until recently it has been _stupidly_ expensive to get into space. SpaceX has radically changed that cost equation. We will be going back and in decent numbers. |

This is it - cost. To beat the Russians they had a blank cheque. Was astronomically expensive. There's much, much less funding now. |

I'm sure mankind will be back there again soon.
When I say no one wants to take the risk what I meant was that they will design as much risk out as possible before they go. It's been a while since any astronauts died.
This is a quirky little vid about how the US didn't have the technology to FAKE the moon landing, therefore it must have happened!!

If the theories are correct there is enough Helium 3 on the Moon to provide clean energy for entire planet (Earth). The first country to exploit it will put the Opec nations wealth in the shade. Odds are it will be China. |
