So i have been really stupid. I sent a picture of myself fully naked to someone on telegram, who i then gave my instagram username to. That person then threatened to send thqt picture to everyone in my contacts. So, i blocked them on telegram, set my instagram profile to private and then deleted my instagram account. (Or requested it to be deleted, apparently it will be gone completely in a month). I also deleted the chat on telegram so i now have no way of reaching out to this criminal. I don't know what the hell i should do. |

Do you have any record of the messages?
Hold your nerve (easy for me to say I know), I suspect that they would have asked for money and you've nipped that in the bud.
If the picture is sent to any of your contacts you'll presumably be able to trace the person and be able to report them to the police.
I don't need to add insult to injury by pointing out the lesson you've clearly learned. We've all done daft things in our time

You're probably OK. It's most likely a scammer in a faraway country. |

To be honest, you can't do anything now. If you had kept the messages you could have reported it to the police.
Ultimately, if you can't be contacted, they can't try to extort any form of money from you.
There IS a risk that they have taken a record of your contacts, but there's no way to profit from sending the pictures.

I feel for you O.P. It can give you a bit of a shock but i'm 'pretty' sure that nothing will come of it. They can't contact you now for money they have no interest in you.
I got an e mail some months ago telling me that they had been watching me 'pleasuring' ( their word not mine ) myself and were going to 'out' me to everyone unless I paid up.
I didn't think they'd really seen me cos ...... t - one I don't do anything on cam and 2 they kept calling me Sir ..... |

I'd say that probably nothing will happen now. They'll move on to their next victim because you're worth nothing in monetary terms.
If any of your contacts do receive pictures notify the police and look your contact squarely in the eye saying you made a daft mistake and are sorry if they've been upset or offended. |

You can report the account to the app with your username. They will still have a record of the messages and threats.

I was the victim of revenge porn once and whilst embarrassing it blows over.
Unless you actually know the person the police won't do much.
If it is blackmle then it's about control. By talking the person that you don't care and to go ahead will take away their control. They are unlikely to follow through with the threat as it serves them no purpose

Only thing I’m thinking is that if they even did send your naked picture to anyone, that’s all it is , a naked picture, not you in a compromising position or anything illegal |

I'm really stupid. Because my instagram account is public, my friends were visible. It's also part of meta, which is linked to Facebook

It’s called Sexploitation. I fell for it, reported it to the Police, and that night told my (then) wife that I was bi. “They” sent the picture to my wife with some nonsense about what I’d been up to (not what I’d actually been up to). I have no idea if they sent it to anyone else but no one has said anything or acted weird.
That day was the worst day of my life. But I’m still here and my subsequent divorce over a year later wasn’t directly related to that incident. I’m happier now. |

Don't beat yourself up OP. I think this was a subject in the news recently, apparently it's a very common thing for unsuspecting men or teenage boys to send naked pics, to then be blackma*led. Mainly by people overseas.
Fingers crossed for you that nothing comes of it.
It's a warning to all of us on a site like this to be careful. |

They told me they'd send my picture to my parents as they are FB friends
They moved on when I told them to feck off
Last year I sent a dick pic to my mother by mistake anyway ffs  |
