When I turned around 24 I started to get hair on my back, now my shoulders and half way down my back is hairy,
I've always been conscious of it and I'm embarrassed to show a woman my hairy back because of fear they would find it disgusting! So I've never sunbathed without waxing my back. And when it comes to meeting ladies, I've never let them see me with a hairy back.
So a question to you ladies, what's your thoughts on this |

My thoughts are this O.P.
There is so much more to a man than body hair.
One may have body hair that is unattractive and another may have body hair thats totally alluring..
If someone is in to you they won't be concerned about it

I’m a hairy guy. I trim pretty much everything because that’s what I want to do. I’m not really bothered by how a woman would react to it, or anyone else if I didn’t trim. Its my body at the end of the day. Don’t worry too much OP ![](/icons/thumb_up.png) |

I'm having laser hair removal treatment on my back, shoulders and buttocks.
I had it all waxed as a one off, which turned into a few times and both me and the better half preferred it with no hair. Trouble with waxing was it made me a cactus in bed when it started to grow back so I've gone down the laser route instead.
Bloody expensive but worth it if that's what you want to do.
It's also a funny talking point when I dress down in clubs as hair goes up just past my elbow then stops lol |

As a fellow hairy back guy I’m contemplating going the laser removal route for a permanent solution. It’s a pain in the arse, literally at times getting waxed and then shaving regularly. I can’t say I’ve honestly ever come across women who’ve been actively seeking a hairy backed man but I’m happy to be proven wrong ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

"I'll be honest
Normal hair/trimmed hair isn't a problem.
But if it's extremely thick and carpet like covering.
I just can't go there "
Thank you Boo, luckily mines not think Like a carpet lol |

Doesn’t bother me in the slightest, and has never put me off someone.
I’m married to a bit of a hairy gorilla and I like it. Conversely I don’t mind a man who’s fully smooth too.
My only request re hair for any man is to trim/shave the pubes.
Smooth or hairy… do whatever feels right for you xx |

There's a pic on my profile with scratches on my back showing how hairy it used to be. There's another that shows when I had it waxed.
It's a lot better now, the hair is a lot finer and doesn't grow like crazy since I started the laser treatment. |

Please stop worrying.
To be fair, it's more a problem if it's uncomfortable for you ie in hot weather, doing sports and getting a bit sweaty etc. Otherwise accept yourself for how you are. If someone can't see past a bit of hair on your back, especially after they have got to know you, are they really worth your time and would you honestly want to spend time with them ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

I detest it
My ex's loved it
I have mine shaved every month or so, because I don't like it and I am very conscious of it
I think we often project those feelings onto others who couldn't give a hoot |

My exs all had hairy backs, when I got with my Husband, it was strange that he didn't however I got uses to it and now, it's probably my personal preference for male partners to have a smooth, soft back.
It wouldn't be a deal breaker though. |

A smooth back makes the marks easier to see, right? ![](/icons/s/2/cute.gif) |

I quite like a hairy chest.
I don't mind a hairy back (though not so keen if it's really gorilla thick).
K used to completely buff up until we met. He now leaves his chest hair (which looks/feels amazing) though he still feels more comfortable getting rid of the back hair.
Everyone will be different, so in short, do whatever you feel comfortable with.

My ex used to let me wax his back. Nothing brought me more joy. He was a good egg letting me do that because I know it was not the most comfortable experience but I loved ripping those strips off.
I think I find no body hair more odd than lots of body hair. But not enough to make it a line in the sand.
And, hairy guys are lovely and cozy to cuddle in winter. And I like going searching for the grey hairs. ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

Personally, I take great delight in a hairy man, even a hairy back. But for every woman who adores a fuzzy lover, there'll be one who detests it.
If you're going to feel embarrassed and self-conscious about your unwaxed back then you'll never relax enough to enjoy being naked with someone. Do what makes you feel most comfortable. I've had lovers whose preference is for a clean shaven foof, and I really don't like that on myself. I choose to do what makes me feel most at ease and don't give any thought to whether or not someone whould prefer me to be different. |

I tend to go for smooth twink types but I've seen this guy on social media who is covered in long body hair that looks so strokably soft. Wouldn't mind a few minutes with him |

Some won't like it, some will.
Personally, I quite like hairy. Don't mind body hair at all. Sometimes my foof is rather hairy and other times it's smooth. I tend to do what I want with my body hair and that's what you should do OP. What makes you feel comfortable and confident? |
