Hi guys,

Just looking for support, wondering if anybody has been through anything similar.

I’ve been having difficulty, with my ex partner in regards of contact with my Children. This has only really started about 2/3 months ago, when she found out I moved on from her & met someone else (briefly). Ever since she found out, she made it difficult for Me to see my kids. I have opted for mediation, we both had a first mediation call last week.

However I’ve been informed today, from the mediator himself that she’s refused to take it any further.

Sorry for being a little behind the door, would the next protocol be a court order?

Thanks guys.

Next Door

I was taken to court over access, it started with mediation which I couldn't afford.

It's best to try and agree arrangements without going to court. It's hard but not impossible. It's costly.

This is my story, but others might have had different experiences.

In the family court, they try to get the parents to make arrangements eg, every other weekend, every other birthday, Xmas etc. Once you are agreed, then it is signed off.

If you can't then the judge will make an arrangement with input from both sides.

If its broken without a valid reason, then it can go back in front of the judge for a review.
