I am meeting Nero very soon and he wants to show me his Clock in the The Royal Academy 'members' club. I'm wondering how big it is...
Have you seen it?
Have you touched it?
What do you like about it?
Would you like Nero to show you his clock too? |

It's called a •member's• club for a reason. Thank you Såff' — our date was supposed to be a clandestine encounter. |

At first glance it seems rather impressive. But then you realise it's an Aldi's finest range and it's not.... quite as impressive.
Not sure I'd touch it but then he wouldn't want me Higgins-ing my way around it. |

And yet it looks so ‘vintage’ what a disappointment. |

Hmmmmmm. Nerø did not bring his Clock to our luncheon, but I'll hazard a guess and say it's size 4. Maybe 5 when the wind is blowing in the right direction. |

"Not as impressive as John Harrison's clock at Greenwich! Renowned for his wood!!
I think Nero’s is plastic
Plastic?? Does it have a little wind up timer?? You know...does it need a hand to work?"
Yes, we like to wind him up |

"It's really rather small, he just puts it incredibly close to the camera. A bit like how Peter Jackson cleverly placed Gandalf and Frodo in the cart."
Hmmmm this makes sense… I asked him to measure it against a sky remote but he outright refused!!! |

But wind up timers need deft, nimble fingers and appropriate wrist action!I hope Nero isn't all fingers and thumbs! |

"I can’t quite make out how big it is but he is having to hold it with two hands "
It's just a good camera angle. We should ask to see it next to a travel size can of Lynx and an original size Sky remote, for context. |

Maybe Nero has teeny tiny hands…."
I suppose that’s possible, but….. look at the size of that thing! Dear god!
I’m surprised he hasn’t lost consciousness trying to carry it round all day. |

I suppose that’s also possible. He must have a helmet the size of a cathedral bell in that case.

I wonder if it’s genetic? That usually skips a generation so his Grandfather’s Clock must have been impressive too. |

Probably too tall for its shelf? I'm assuming it stood 90yrs on the floor. |

Its ballbusting! Not pistols!!
I have no experience of pistols! But I do get to go first!! I shall utilise my former rugby skills to recreate a 50 yard clearance from my own line! So sir! Legs akimbo, eyes open and brace yourself! |

Damn! I have checked my wardrobe and unfortunately have no white frilly shirt or piccadills! I shall have to dress as a peasant from the french revolution!
1) Does that bar me from duels?
2) Hampstead Heath? Would my dress of choice make me 'fair game!' for the locals re: sexual shenanigans!!
Yours Sincerely

That's likely, if it was bought on the morn of the day that he was born. |

Oyy, I used to be a patron you know!! I have taken tea in the garden and enjoyed the artists room on many occasions before an exclusive viewing at the summer exhibition.
(Ok, technically a gentleman I used to Dominate was the patron, but I did visit a number of times. I can scrub up well and sound cultured) |
