Reports that female tennis players who get themselves pregnant and have a child retain their world ranking for tournament seeding for three years. That is a good thing. A campaign now starting for those ladies who want their female eggs stored to have children later in life to have a similar privilege. Fair play. Should the men who have children have similar treatment tho. The must be under enormous pressure from their wives to change nappies etc and still have to train and travel to tournaments. I think the reason is down to the massive changes that happen in women’s bodies Tom. Men shouldn’t have that privilege because they go through no such change. I’m all for them having protected ranking for a length of paternity time, but not in the same manner that the women receive. |
