Define please? How much would you need a month if the house is bought outright?

Look at the digital Normad visa for Spain you can set up a Ltd company in the UK to pay you and benefit from lower taxes , lower cost of living & nice weather

Living there on what terms? It's difficult there if you're self-employed, finding a job might be difficult, if you're retired you'll likely end up drinking all day with other ex pats. The best advice I could give you is to rent an apartment for a year and try it before fully committing. K.

My parents moved out to a very rural area, beautiful and they both thoroughly enjoyed it. Until they became ill and elderly and felt very much alone for them.

I often said i would move out there in a heartbeat but now, not so sure

Totally depends on your lifestyle , mode of transport etc. how much do you currently spend in the uk a month ? How often will you travel back there & will you have a car and place to stay in the UK ? Will you go on foreign holidays ? Will you run a car in Spain. Do you tend to cook or dine out ? Do you smoke or drink ?

My costs in Dubai are around £3000 a month but I travel frequently to the UK each trip is around £1500 in flights & car hire alone. I also go on holidays to Asia. I maintain a house in the uk at a cost of around £1000 a month.

When I did the calculations for digital Nomad I reckon I could live in Spain comfortably for £2500 a month including rent & running a car. Italy was a bit higher around £3200.
