I've given my real name to two people so far: one I'm possibly having a social meet with tomorrow, and one I'm currently messaging. It's a pretty common name and I have my face pics on my profile, so I'm not exactly precious about keeping it a secret, but I also won't share it willy-nilly without reason. |

This is my real name!
I have and would tell people all my real details once I meet them. For me no exceptions in that authenticity.
However Got gaps.. no people to confide in my superhero identity . |

I use both, I have used Tiberius on many Internet forums for several years, it's quite funny when I throw a party and have Internet and 'other' friends there. Some people call me Tiberius (normally shortened to Tibs), and you can see 'other' friends just wondering why that person is calling me Tibs, and why am I answering! |

At group socials I'm colloquially known by my Fab profile name. If I interact with someone and they introduce themselves using their real name then I will reciprocate.
If I'm sharing a bed with a woman then she will •always• know my real name. I simply cannot engage in passionate skin-to-skin entwinement using my pseudonym. The whole experience otherwise feels unnatural and 'synthetic'. |

I use my own name - I had a meet years ago where I didn't realise I'd not given my real name. Very strange getting called by my at the time username during sex... And it was at the point where it'd have been worse to correct them |

My real name. I understand discretion online and not posting your details alongside your genitals but I don’t understand it offline. I cannot think of any good reason why someone wouldn’t share their real name with me if we were to meet up.
If there was a genuine reason I wouldn’t want to hear it. Sounds like drama |

I tell folk the shortened version of my real name - which is the name everyone other than immediate family call me. My full name is a bit of a mouthful.
However, lots of folk will still call me Red. I don't mind, I like being Red |

Polly is my real female name, though I do have a different female surname. I'm happy for the close friends I meet through fab to know my full female name. I will usually share my male name as well with those who also visit my home. Once someone knows my address it would be easy enough for them to find out my male name anyway, so I might as well just tell them if they are curious. |

I’ve told one person my real name. The others know my name that I’ve used in real life since I was a teen. It’s what I introduce myself as in real life so not a made up name. It’s simply not my full name. |

Back when I was a Fab couple, we met this really pushy couple in Cupids, neither of us were interested so our code phrase came in useful.
We made excuses and the dude presented me with their Fab business card, had their username, email address, both first names on the card and cell phone number!!
We bumped into them again a few weeks later and I greeted the fella using the name from the card; he looked me dead in the eye and said “you’re confusing me with someone else mate” my name isn’t ……
I laughed in his face |

I don't like that personal level, I prefer fab name or made up name.
You share your name, details of your personal life and it all gets a bit eurgh.
I made the mistake of telling one guy years ago and he always calls me by it and I don't know why but it really annoys me. |

A few people i haven't met yet know my first name.
At socials most people call me midnight - a few ask what my real name is... And then continue to call me midight, which is fine by me as i prefer it |

"
I suffer the same fate.
I get introduced as Obi at socials by people who've known my real name for years.
I guess people like to be able to link someone to a Fab profile.
I did chuckle at a UTB social once where I'd been talking to a forum regular for about half an hour, we'd introduced ourselves using real names and when we finally asked who we were on Fab it was one of those 'oh fuuuuuuuck, really?' moments.
*for good reasons. We hadn't blocked eachother. |

Most people at group socials call me Nana. A couple of them call me Val. Not many know my actual name.
I have sent the link to my home STI tests to one person who I trust, which has my first and last name on it. |

I use my real name. My name is a very common one, both first name and surname (three of us at my current employer, two in my last, three when I was at school).
It's not information that anyone would easily be able to abuse! |

So this couple I’d played with a few times, always led to believe their names were actually Ross and Eva, cool couple, sexy.. had a a lady friend join us to make it a foursome and overheard him (Ross) introduce themselves to her as Brian and Sandra… wtf for not telling me their real names and telling my lady friend upon their first ever encounter |

Generally I will use my fab name. If weve been talking and got on well other than swinging chat I will give my real name at a meet.
Some people I have never even asked nor been asked and so remain anonymous aside from my username |

In all the years I've been here I could count on one hand the number of people who know my first name and only 2 or 3 who know my full name.
On the flip side I don't know many peoples names even after chatting to them for years. |

Whereas both my names are super uncommon and when put together, might even be entirely unique |

Not many people know this but…
If you’ve given someone a mobile number for a phone on which you have an online banking app
They can make a request for payment or bill share to your number and by a little unknown quirk it will provide them with your full name as it’s part of the security cross check protocols. |

I think it's what you get used too, I still refer to some people by their username when speaking about them to Mr J even though we know their name

I needed stitches after a glass broke while I was washing up. Waiting in the minor injury clinic, my name was called, three people stood up. Y'all can guess my name from that, and much good it'll do ya! |
