Here I am at the docs waiting for my script. There's a very cute little toddler running around in circles like a puppy chasing its tail and giggling. All I want to do is say, 'sit down and shut the f*** up'. Of course, I'm not going to. And I keep smiling at her indulgently.

I wouldnt say you were. You arent there for fun if you at the doctors. Im the same sometimes but does depend I think what you are there for and the mood you are in. Hope you are ok anyway |

We're all allowed to be grumpy or irritable at times. Kudos to you though for holding it in and not yelling at the kid. Tis a sign of strong character there. |

Not really mate, I don't really have a lot if time for other people's kids either. Can only just about cope with ours!

As a mum to an adorable little boy, I wish more people would be like the op (& others) He hates random women coming up to him and sticking their faces in his.
Yes he has lots of curly hair 
but he hates strangers 
Ever since he was born old women have been sticking their faces in his, running their fingers through his hair or 'tickling' his foot and coo-ing at him 
Anyone that works for asda home delivery, sorry you have to bring all my heavy shopping here hehe  |

When i was a kid mum either held my hand or told me not to go out her sight at shop.
Now, they park the car, let them lose and hope they stumble across them mid-shop. |

I loathe and detest small children in most shops/doctors/buses etc.
I barely put up with the ones im related to and that's only cos i know what i can tell 'em off for! I get very Victorian about manners and good behaviour in public! But i only take them shopping if they need something and it has to be tried on.
Otherwise its the great outdoors where they can scream and behave like a barbarian horde as children should.
But yes, i am that woman on the bus tutting...  |

kids like that get on my tits, the parents are in the wrong because they shouldnt let their kids run around and make a noise in places like doctors waiting rooms. |
