I have the titan, but I have removed its guard protection. I like my angle grinder, but use it for purposes that it was not designed for (such as a saw for wood). |

As other posters have said, it depends what you want it for.
Two general thoughts:
-Every tradesman I have met in the last twenty years has used Makhita tools without exception.
-unless you are doing something really heavy duty, cordless tools are more flexible |

I have the Bosch cordless 4 1/2” 18v for general use and a Hitachi 9” mains for heavier work.
Always take care when using power tools folks, a guy local to me just recently nearly severed his hand, not a pretty sight. |

Get the Bosch - I have had many brands over the years but these are better than most bevel drive gear is more robust and quieter - less contamination of the motor (the killer of most angel grinders) the spindle lock is better, the spindle nut tightens untightens easily (doesn’t bind due to quality of threads). Titan is trash, buy it if you won’t use it much - it’ll do the job

I have a Titan one that I bought as a stopgap/emergency to get me out of trouble when away on a job. It works is about the best thing I can say about it. It’s harsh and vibratory, and won’t fit back in its carry case unless you straighten the guard each time. I don’t like it at all, and would certainly not recommend one. If budget is tight, then step up to an Erbauer one or as you have already mentioned, the Bosch.
Cordless grinders are great for small, quick jobs, but they eat through batteries really quickly if you’re doing any amount of hard work, and a corded one is generally better (as well as lighter and more compact). |

Something else to think about, is check how compatable disks are. Is the Titan a standard bore and diameter? I've been caught out by that in circular saws.
When I was starting out in woodwork, I always went for Titan, but now I'd say invest in the best you can for your budget as it will likely last longer. Titan are ok for light occasional use.
Regardess of which, buy a decent brand disk. If cutting concrete or masonary go with the Bosch diamond blade (I got one last month and it cuts concrete like putty) costs about 6-7 pounds. |

There's a lot of different opinions based on personal experiences, none of them are comparable because everyone uses them differently. I had a great one and it burnt out, bought a cheap one and it's still going, but I've used them differently. So who knows.....
But what I will say is if you're choosing between Screwfix or BfkYou (BnQ), go Screwfix, always cheaper and Screwfix and BnQ are owned by the same company so go with what's good for your pockets not theirs. |

Angle grinders do not have kick back protection. Use it without a guard or for non intended purposes at your own risk. Injuries are bad enough with a grinder or masonry disk, never mind a wood cutter. Personally, would recommend not following such risky actions. However, it's your life, just don't cause extra work for the NHS FFS! |

I attended an industry awards dinner a few years back and the first entertainment of the evening was a very lovely young woman dressed in a bikini with metal plates over her crotch and boobs and an angle grinder which she used to produce sparks from the metal plates in a burlesque style show. As we were used to people like Lennie Bennett or Nookie Bear it was quite a departure. |

I know someone who lost his finger cutting wood with angle grinder . He didn't realise at first until he saw the finger on the ground ...and then felt the excruciating pain.
They make circular saws, jigsaws, chainsaws for wood, you know. But if you have extra fingers and other spare body parts, why spend extra money ??? |

Depends on how many ULEZ camera poles you cut in one charge. You wouldn't want to leave the job unfinished |

What would you do without the swinging community, eh?
Helping hand and advice
for all kind of device.
Be it a dildo with wall suction,
Or a tool for some serious action.
Buy the Bosch, I would say.
Titan is for a child's play.
Titan will do the job just as well, but the cost of small angle grinders isn't much. Spend another 50% on top.

Have always used makita at work as they last had my last makita 9 inch 12 years before it finally burned out and thst was with heavy use as used the 9 inch more than every other size
Out of the two I’d choose the Bosch, the Bosch professional range is actually really good |

My old 4 inch A Grinder is decades old still works perfectly. I think it is a Black and Decker pro. That said I needed another so as to not have to keep changing discs from grinding to cutting. I bought a Mac From B&Q around £25:00 and it is the dogs dangly bits!
