Skint, it was about poverty in Britain. We recorded it and will be watching it again because it was frightening and enlightening at the same time. It also included a local cafe that provides help for children (and anyone else) living in poverty |

I remember this tv show. Vernon was one of the people I remember from the show as he was a serial grafter. |

Better off Dead. It explored the concept of assisted dying. The actor from Silent Witness considered it from her perspective as she has a disability and felt that she and people like her would be seen as having less of a say over their own life or death
The Man who Came Back from the Dead - was a very good four parter |

I remember him from his Bolton days! What did he do to get a documentary about him? |

Moved to Iran, married a second wife, got into the uncut diamond business, moved back to England with his original wife, died in a car crash and then his second wife and sister don’t believe he’s dead. |

Somebody has already mentioned Grizzly Man, BUT it requires greater attention.
The director is Werner Herzog and this gentleman's directorial touch is sartorial to say the least!
Grizzly Man follows the expansive hearted, yet clearly naive Timothy Treadwell as he strives for many years to protect Alaskas Grizzly Bear population.
Some of the footage is exquisitely beautiful!
Nature in all its raw wonder, and a gentle soul too beautiful for planet Earth!
I dare you not to shed at least one tear, or to not at other times feel your heart leap with joy!
This dear fabbers is a documentary masterpiece! |

"Where was the RoboCop documentary? Assuming it's the original.
It's on Prime. It was only released last year and goes into the making of the film in great depth."
Robocop is my all time favourite film. Will deffo be giving this a watch! |

Last one I watched was Attack on Wembley. The interview with one of the guys bursting into the stadium annoyed me.
I loved Bowling For Columbine. All about the gun laws and gun culture in the USA.
One of my favourite channels on YouTube is Yesterworld. It focuses on troubled production histories of movies and high profile failures of companies. |

Just to say that you are indeed correct!
Tribe was a wonderful series and Bruce Parrys gentle respectful touch made it delightful viewing.
Bravo to you for sharing it with the kids. |

Robo-doc was excellent.
If you're a fan of the original robocop film, you'll like it.
I was hoping to see Rob botin talking in it. He did so much special effects for 80s & 90s films. I heard he became disillusioned with the film industry and works as an estate agent now.
2 other documentaries that I think are excellent, both a few years old now are "project nim" & "blackfish". |

"What documentaries have you watched recently? Yesterday I watched RoboDoc - a 4-part RoboCop making of documentary. Now I'm watching a 3-part documentary about The Crusades."
RoboCop.
Isn't it funny how films sometimes predict the future.
Now that Google own Boston dynamics they indeed do have a mock city inside large warehouses where robots are acting as police.they can access records, recognise faces and use a firearm.
Worrying isn't it |
