Switzerland a really well organised, hard-working team with no shortage of talent in key position (Sommer / Akanji / Xhaka).
England have shown very little in this tournament so far, save for one or two moments of individual brilliance.
As ever, international football is always won by the team with the best midfield. Unless something drastically changes I can't see this being England.
A 1-0 / 2-1 kind fo game. Switzerland to edge it and your average football fan to go into meltdown is my prediction. Enjoy! |

1-0 AET with a Jude Bellingham mis-cued shot deflected into his own net by Akanji or whoever in added time, after they've served up yet another 119 mins of turd with 64% useless unprogressive possession, and 2 shots at goal.
My hope is Switzerland take this overrated & unlikeable team to school & send them home in disgrace, but the above paragraph is the more likely scenario, and we'll be wondering how such an awful side has made it to the semi-finals |

The Swiss are a solid, experienced outfit all round and probably have the edge at the back and in midfield. Freuler and Xhaka will run the game unless Rice gets more help.
England have a lot of match-winners at the top-end of the pitch but they don't seem to have gelled in this tournament so I can see the Swiss taking this one unfortunately.

Grealish is right-footed but plays off the left. Shaw is left footed but been injured. Branthwaite is left footed too, as is Saka. Although I think England have always struggled with quality left footed left wingers. |

Kane has always played like this. Kane actually started his career as a #10. I don't know why people suddenly expect him to be Erling Haaland 13 years into his career when he's never been that type of player.
The problem with Kane is he needs runners either side of him. Mourinho used Son & Bergwijn/Bale for this. |
