Tucker and Dale Vs Evil (it's kind of cheating because it's longer than ten years but I don't care).
Midsommar
And The Witch/The Taking Of Deborah Logan/The Autopsy of Jane Doe/Late Night With The Devil.
Can't decide on the final one. :D |

Train to Busan
Hell house LLC
One cut of the dead (Japanese version)
These aren't the best most scariest films but they are the top 3 that i enjoyed the most , have rewatched the most and can't forget over the last few years, but I have odd taste in films ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

"That have been released in the last 10 years or so.. that you would recommend?
My 3-
It follows
Overlord
Barbarian
Please could you quote where these films are available from, many thanks."
'Barbarian' i watched on disney plus.
I think it's on amazon prime now, it was when I checked about a month ago.
'Overlord' I think is available to buy on various platforms so is "it follows."
I'd recommend "get out" as a 4th horror film, but i thought those 3 were ones people may not have seen or heard of and worth a shout out. |

I've made a note of these other recommendations. Thanks.
I preferred 'midsommar' to 'hereditary'.. I think I'm in the minority there. ( I think it's the same director)
Northman was an interesting film, I thought. Same guy that did the witch. |

I thought "brightburn" was clever/ refreshing.
"10 cloverfield lane" I liked too. Wasn't what I was expecting. In a good way.
There's a british werewolf film called "howl". Set on a train. I thought that was entertaining. ![](/icons/thumb_up.png) |

I really enjoyed howl. Not long after I watched it I was on a tram late at night and we had to stop because the tram hit a deer . I was a bit tipsy and kept looking out into the darkness waiting to see glowing werewolf eyes ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

"The Neon Demon"
I totally forgot about this film. I went to a screening at a cinema that was showing it, quite far away.
It was so fucked up.
- But good.
I liked the cameo by kaunu reeves. |

Has anyone ever been to "frightfest"?
It's a horror film festival that goes on for a few days.
You can get to see about 80 new up and coming horror films from around the world..
I so need to go to one of these. ![](/icons/s/cool.gif) |

Same. Hereditary was great but Midsommar and the cinematography? Truly incredible. I like A24 generally. And it's on 4oD if anyone hasn't watched it yet and wants to.

Midsommar- absolutely loved it, it’s one of the few recent films I’ve watched more than twice. So obsessed with it I have watched several YouTube videos over its hidden meanings.
Late Night with the Devil - really watchable
Smile - had a really good idea and enjoyed it immensely.
Do not bother with The Strangers, watched it yesterday and what a load of boring rubbish. The original was quite good but (I know it’s a trilogy) but this was just dire and obvious where it was going. |

"Joker
Not strictly speaking a horror film but a startling departure of your G-rated DC comics genre. "
Have you seen Scorsese's film The King Of Comedy? Joker is as close to a remake as you can get without legal action being taken. They even cast De Niro in it, who had played the comedian in the earlier film. |
