Slightly off track here. One of my hobbies is doing a bit of birdwatching while I am out on a long walk. A few weeks ago, I went to a pond in a nearby country park where there are ducks, herons, coots etc. At the side of the pond was a man looking into the undergrowth. He had a dog lead in his hand. Seeing me and thinking I was walking on, he started shouting 'Come on boy!' and whistling, as if to coax a dog from the undergrowth. I walked up to the pond and there were ducks on the pond. If the ducks were on the pond, that meant that there was no dogs about. I decided to wait and see what this was about. The man kept on calling and looking at me. I am not easily intimidated and kept watching him. Eventually, he decided to leave. There was no dog. This man was obviously up to no good. This area is frequented by school children so I followed him until I seen him leaving the park. He knew I was following him, hopefully, if he was up to no good this may have given him second thoughts. |
