"I had my bike topped out at 168mph during a track day at Donnington Park
What bike was it?"
A 1997 Kawasaki ZX9R. It had the capability to go quicker, but I’m fat, that dropped its top speed some. |

"155mph on the back of a motorbike in Sardinia absolutely shitting myself.
On the back is pretty scary, what bike do you remember?"
It was a Kawasaki ninja thing in the early 90s, I just thought if we come off I’m dead. |

I had no idea how fast until we got off and the rider said that he hadn’t gone that fast on his own. |

"69mph.
We are too precious to take risks although last Sunday we moved pews and sat further towards the back as a friend told us the organ sounds much louder.
"

Back of my friends bike 160mph. Suzuki slingshot 1100. Absolutely crapped my pants. Was clinging on for dear life. Drove a Lamborghini balboni at 140mph round a racetrack on a red letter day event. Only 1of 4 ever made |

Also the guy that owned it was also the owner of all the cars there. He was taking people out as passengers and did 145mph so I think I did pretty good |

"People admitting to speeding !
Irresponsible, idiotic, idiots "
Irresponsible idiots for admitting to it or for speeding?
I’m sure you’ve never been in a vehicle that has broken a speed limit.
And for the record lots are people are relaying tales of track days and on roads without speed limits. |

That’s agreed, but perhaps you’ve been a little generalised in your condemnation, and as I asked above can you hand on heart say you haven’t been in a vehicle that has broken a speed limit on a road with regular road users, if so was the driver an irresponsible idiot.
And another thing, many drivers are irresponsible idiots without speeding, driving too close to others, using mobile phones, running out of petrol/charge all cause many accidents. |

I never speed even on an open road in Nevada in a Camaro V8, I kept to 55 mph to optimise fuel economy. It was a wonderful experience, I could feel the safety flowing through my veins. It was so comforting I almost fell asleep at the wheel. So I pulled over for a rest, I almost got bitten by a snake so I got in my car again. I didn't know what to do next because I don't drink coffee because caffeine is bad for you. So I curled up in the backseat and cried. But then I became dehydrated. Fortunately, I planned ahead and hit my sos button and emergency medical assistance was flown in - otherwise who knows what may have happened. |

"100 mph U.K silver ford ka 06 reg - I cried when it died.... ( well if I could cry I would have )
Did it go rusty around the petrol filler "
Personally, I think Granny wins the reckless abandon award a tonne in an old Ford KA? Aren't the brake pads made out of rubber on them? |

Vision and steering were second to none.... so was road holding but .... near the end of it's life the body work rattled - something we had in common |

Late 80s, early 90s my boss used to let me use his Mercedes (don't remember what model) when he went on holiday. I asked him one day when we were driving to one of our sites what was the most he got out of it. Can't remember what he said but when I told him it could do 140 (mph) he just glanced at me and said nothing. I never used it again. Unsure whether it was because I started using the company vehicle. |

Paper Town Central, Essex. |
167mph with my daughter riding pillion on a tweaked and tuned Sprint 1050st.
Was told it should be capable of more but the front end was starting to get too light for my liking.
I'll refrain from saying where, but it wasn't on a track or an airfield. |
