My teens were awesome, lived every day knowing it could well be my last and embraced that knowledge (not because I have an illness or condition, I was just a bat shit crazy teenager!!!) but, in my mid fifties, life is shit, however, I am probably the happiest I have ever been, so I have to be loving this decade too |

I'd the last decade has been the best between 35 and 45 (well maybe not 35 as it's the year my world fell apart and my first marriage ended).
I'm 45 next week, so only half way in, so 40s has definitely been the best half decade yet, I've learnt so much about myself, other people, who I want in my life, financially better, happier than any of the other previous decades. |

Each one has been wonderful in different ways.
Sadly, late 40s into 50s can mean death of parents and relatives raises its ugly head.
It seems visits to cemetery becomes regular, it can be quite a reflective time.
The knack is to shake as much life out of every day.
Say yes to almost everything, get out as much as possible to all types of places, it's amazing the people who are out there.
Look for the good in everything and everyone but move on as fast as possible from the whiners, drama queens, people with misery and angst, they will take you down with them and misery always craves company. The great thing, you can spot them in minutes in every arena.
Good luck and remember, it's not a practice run. |

I'd say teens. Moved up a notch on the school learning (secondary school). Discovered girls and fell in love a few times, rock music, formed lifetime bonds with mates. Day after day of summer holidays. Great memories. |

My 30s were great, and my 40s haven't been bad at all. |

My 20s were the best. I flowered and fully enjoyed university, travelled and worked abroad, met the love of my life, experienced life in the military (unpleasant, but an exceptional experience nonetheless), started working, was prominent in my hobby - it was the best time... |

Being a teen in the 80s was an amazing time to be alive especially for the music and the cars and being in my 20s in the 90s was equally amazing. I'm so privileged to have experienced both decades and at the age I was too. |

0-10 brilliant (lived abroad)
Teens tedious (1970s)
Twenties too studious (1980s)
Thirties loved my work and lived abroad (1990s)
Fourties dominated by work for others
Fifties dominated by work for myself (enjoyable and a workaholic)
Sixties, lets see

My 40s had their low points, but they were by far the most fun I've had so far. I was settled in my career, sorted my finances out, grew my self-confidence and felt more comfortable in myself.
I'm taking all of that into my 50s with the hope that in 10 years I'd be able to answer the same question with "my 50s, without a doubt". |
