So…. Who do you think?

I was behind Southgate for yours, but Damn, is that it? *sighs.

Who’s is going to take us to where these players deserve to be.

Who can get some enthusiasm, some passion, some fight, some desire?

It’s a genuine question, who’d want the job?

We’re so desperate to win, we’ll cling to a blade of grass and convince ourselves we’re a great side.

Jude’s goal changes nothing in terms of the performance, embarrassing!

These players are better than this against Slovakia. A win on record does not reflect the result and score. We created f all against a crap team that made us look crapper.

And above is r wrong. You can easily follow this! All you need to do is play exciting football. I’ve not got off my seat for 4 games this tournament.

4 mins of something to cheer about. End of the 90mins and start of the extra time. Otherwise, we are awe full.

Ancelotti would be an absolute coup.

The biggest issue with international football is you can't but a playet in when you have gaps.

Plus limited time to mould a shape.

Graham Potter would have two ex swans as manager. So I'm in.

No. A scary result against a team you should be turning over speaks volumes to where you are. Simply not good enough to beat a team you HAVE to. I came into this tournament, knowing(or imagining) that France is the team to beat. But we seem to struggle against anybody. And I don’t think it’s a players I simply think it’s the coach. When you have players, not pushing forward when they always push forward for their club and people are wondering why. I genuinely think it’s because they’ve been told to do a job. And that message just come from the manager.

A good coach and a good team are going to tear us apart

Someone who can take the shackles off and play to our strengths. We have some fantastic players but absolutely no clue how to manage them and get players running through walls.

There is not one ounce in excitement him how we play - we have scraped by in every game and that’s not good enough.

I’m quite embarrassed that we are still in the competition.

Southgate hasn’t got the balls or man management to enhance this team.

I would love someone like Klopp as he gets the best out of players.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. We didn't even qualify for the Euros under McClaren, the Capello World Cup was genuinely awful drawing to USA and Algeria and we were knocked out the 2014 WC group stage and knocked out by Iceland in 2016. In all honesty, is there an English manager out there that's capable of making the England team one of the best teams in the world..

You have the players, no questions about that...

Southgate got the job because you all cried out for an English manager after foreign ones couldn't hack it either.

I'd give it to an AI manager.

It would be able to analyse every player, their strengths and weakness, the pitch, and so much detail.

Players wear headpieces.

Forward with possession is coming in to kick, "Keeper Left". Forward kicks and ball sails past the Keeper's left. Goal !

The AI had analysed all that Keeper's historic save attempts and data showed the Keeper failed to save more attempts on his left than right. So it fed appropriate data to the Forward.

.

The strategic and also tactical experience would be elevated considerably. It doesn't replace skill either...it supports and enhances it.

Honestly, I don’t believe that anyone has a decent memory. Can anyone remember a manager that has scaled heights or got so close as Southgate has? How he was lauded and praised after Russia and Euro 21?

Ffs. Every team that has won tournaments has struggled (France vs Paraguay ‘98 anyone?) I may well eat my words but ten years ago, I would have bitten anyone’s hand off for a WC semi, a Euro final and for the bar to be set so high that we’re marking ourselves against the elite teams, realistically.

We’ve broken so many hoodoos; penalty loses, beating top tier opposition in knockout matches and found ways to drag wins from poor performances. Just take the win!! I know that I will.

I'd love to see Klopp as England manager. At least we'd play some football. It's such a shame as we actually have some decent players and few with real ability. There's no need to play so defensively.

I think Pep is the best manager out there who would get England playing good football but I think the only national job he will take on is the Spain one.Perhaps Roberto Martinez , Roberto Mancini , Carlo Ancelotti could be persuaded but I think it will end up been Eddie Howe or Lee Carsley that will end up getting the job.

About 3 feet away from the fence

Does anyone really care about the nationality of the manager in 2024?

Because if you do, you should acknowledge that you aren't getting the best person for the job in that case.

The best English candidate is probably Graham Potter.

I personally think he's better than Eddie Howe...but hardly inspiring, is it..

People suggesting Harry Redknapp when he's nearly 80 years old says it all.

I mean, there's no way it's not going to be Graham Potter. If it isn't, I'll upload a video of me trying to suck my own cock

"Sarina Wiegman"

I would say that as well - look at what she's achieved in women's football, and give her the next two years (and maybe the world cup) to get the mens team playing as they should... The women's teams have male managers, so why can't the men's team shave female managers?!

Think of the way it would open the game up for female managers too, not only on international stage, but in domestic leagues as well.

Let her run/manage both the women's and men's teams too if possible, and obviously the media spotlight would be absolutely immense... Be a brave person at the FA if they did appoint her though

Giver her the u21s and see how she does maybe. She wouldnt take it though. Southgate wasnt a good club manager but did well with u21s. I think she would struggle with the increased apeed and strength to know how to get the best out of the players. Womens game has a lot more time to think and make choices than mens game

A town near you

I'd have thought Graham Potter would be a good guy for England next.
