"Are the flags a good thing or a bad 1, as in blocking people's views and political statements which Glastonbury say they frown upon?"
There is a remix of Charlotte De Warren where the top comment until very recently was talking about taking flags of propaganda. Which unless you watched the video 20 times and took in the shot lasting less than a second you week seev the flag and love hearts you would have totally no idea what the connenter were taking about.
The flags or blow up Aliens do not bother me they do not block the site when they're is a huge telly by the stage.
Flags and politics have always been apart of Glastonbury. Cue the the yellow Vietnam flsgs. And even one year they had Jeremy Corbin and the Dela Llama talking on stage.
When it comes to events if you do not want to attend the politics do not attend the event.
When it comes to flags one needs to make an informed personal oppinion on weather they block the beasts out or not. |

Nicely said Boxes - all of it.
Especially the "Flags and politics have always been a part of Glastonbury" .
It's a counter-culture hub, since the early 1900s. |

But who pays to go to Glastonbury to stand in front of the Pyramid stage just to have to see any action of the stage on a big screen.
Defeats the whole point of attending really.
They should have a place where you can pop your flag and collect it later, like you do your coat when you go somewhere fancy.
Then if you want to wave the flag, wave it on the way through the crowds. |

Glastonbury is the only major festival that still let's flags into the Arena.
Some are interesting and funny but most are really annoying blocking the view of the stage.
Most people only do it so they can spot themselves on telly later.
Glastonbury discuss this every year and I think it is time to get rid of them.

I saw a bit of Glasto yesterday on the ton of the tik.
The flags were on super high poles (from what I could see, so two things:-
1. Kudos to whoever is holding that thing for more than 5 minutes
2. A long pole shouldn’t interfere too much with the vision of the stage, so I take back my earlier comment from yesterday.

There was a few poles with more than 1 flag on and ran up and down the polls |

We used to put flags and blow up creatures on our cano sites so we could find them at 4am. Never made it down to any of the main stages of than RATM one year, Preferred smaller venues or just sat on a hillside watching from a distance with our own food and drink |

"For sure, you know who they belong to.
(Extreme left usually. Remember the chants for corbyn a few years ago? These people are always wrong)"
The young wealthy left? Glastonbury used to counter culture so greens, alternative lifestyle, even anarchists, The main campsite was even named the Greenfield And there was so much going on there that was a much more significant than who was playing on the pyramid stage. It’s more of a pop festival these days for wealthy people I don’t think it’s very political |

"Hang them from top and around the stage setup (maybe at sides) so view not blocked. I imagine a few people cannot see properly. They look good but not blocking peoples view!"
From the top and sides of what? if you mean the stage, thats a whole world of pain you really don't want to get in to |

They'd be accused of Al sorts if that happened with some of the flags being shown |

Propaganda were a brilliant 80s act but even so, why take a flag of them?
Is all that we see, just a dream within a dream? |
