Happy AFD '24 to the men and women (and four legged friends) who have served and continue to serve in the Army, Navy and Air Force.

Enjoy your day!

For someone who served and buried friends and colleagues as well as seen people with severe physical and mental life changing injuries I find your point crass and disrespectful

Yes. My point made on a sex site is a little crass. Go figure.

And you know nothing of my life but I choose not to splash it all over to try and win a point over someone I don't know.

Have a lovely day.

No points to be won. This forum is a lounge where almost everything but sex is talked about

What I will do though is question what is put on a meaningful thread that resonates with a lot of people

Have a fantastic day

Guys, as the OP I weald special powers. I would also like to put it back on track as being positive. It is not a Remembrance Sunday thread.

I have buried folk. Personally. But I also know that soldiers, sailors and airmen currently are on operations, in sticky situations and somewhere on duty.

I also appreciate that some are in a bed they shouldn't be, have woken up next to bins with a kebab smeared on their faces shaking off a heavy one from last night.

Let's lighten the tone, crack on, have a great day, tip the hat to the AF wherever and whoever you are.

For the record. I am hot.

I know entirely what you mean and feel the same in a way having had similar experiences but I don’t think that it was meant disrespectfully. People who haven’t been through it may say things like that without thinking about the implications for others.

They had no choice, today there is a choice. Its a career choice not conscription or national service.

No comparison.

Thank you for remembering the animals that have served, suffered, and died in war too. Millions of horses (and mules and other beasts of burden) and for many of us especially the marvellous search dogs to whom many of us owe our lives.
