I’m plant-based, but even before I was, I didn’t eat fish, mainly because of my extreme fear of it, and I just didn’t like it anyway.
I’ve just come across vegan octopus that exists in Germany. It looks incredibly realistic and it’s giving me the shivers
Would you try it? Do you eat octopus anyway? Are you a seafood enjoyer? Or are you a seefood and eat it enjoyer? |

Octopods are wonderfully interesting, and beautiful, and also delicious.
I'm not a fan of meat substitutes and tend towards sticking to actual vegetables. But I'd be interested to try the vegan approximation |

I've had baby Octopus before it just tastes rubbery lol. As for fish I'm ok with any unless it's fishy fish ( like kippers/ herring).
I can never understand why the vegan or plant based manufacturers have to tart food up to be like meat or fish.
If its funghi why dress it up as Octopus?
If its quorn or tofu why say it's no chick chicken |

"What would you get if you crossed my ex wife with an octopus?
An eight legged slut!
Why did I laugh at this.. It's not even funny "
I can’t take credit for that, it’s a Ricky Gervais gag from Afterlife. |

There is no such thing as a vegan alternative that tastes remotely like the real thing. It just does not exist. I have tasted lots of stuff that is perfectly edible (I wouldn’t go so far as to say it was tasty) but vegan bacon is not the equivalent of pork bacon and on and on. Why bother? Why not create a whole new sludge vegan diet. |

In my opinion, it’s because a lot of vegans like the taste of meat but don’t like everyone that comes along with it (the slaughter, etc)
Personally, I couldn’t care less some plant based items that look and taste too meaty put me right off |

To be honest, I have eaten dog in Korea, horse in Malta, octopus & whale in Japan. What is all the fuss about, surely eating lamb, pig & cow is just as bad. As for plant based food don't plants deserve a life too |

Octopus are my favourite animal. I find them fascinating. Sadly. They are also fucking delicious. I am very ambivalent about it all if that is any consolation. I like cows too but you know how this story goes. |

Possibly because people still crave the flavour of certain meat after they switch to plants. A bit like vaping i guess.
I used to buy a liquid smoke mix when I gave up meat years ago, to recreate the smoked fish flavour..that I missed.
I like octopuses ( opctopie?) . Wouldn't want to eat one, personally speaking,(real or fake.) |

Fruitarianism. I believe that's the term for eating nuts and seeds and fruit that fall to the ground, with minimal interference of the plant.
There was a guy I used to follow on facebook, years ago, that did this.
He had a physique like a chiseled statue.. |

Yep, if animals weren't made out of food we wouldn't be eating them |

Surely, that should be octupi, as it's a corruption of the singular of octopus? |
