I re-opened my DMs to single men yesterday.
It took ONE DAY. Maybe even less than 24 Hours before I received abuse, including an ableist slur.
It actually baffles me sometimes. 
(I know it’s not all single men before anyone gets in there.)
I just needed to vent this out because what on earth |

Yes, exactly, and I was just making a point that I took a risk opening my messages to single men again and this is the response I get almost immediately.

Reported and blocked as soon as it happened, thankfully I saw it instantly so it wasn’t a shock.
Yes, it’s passed! Thanks for asking. Well, tbf, some of it has passed I’m doing okay with my novel again (albeit with self doubt)- and I’m getting back to my poetry! Thank god it’s lifting |

As for the abuse, when I’ve had it, it’s also guys new to the site. Which suggests there are people joining just to troll. What unhappy little lives they must lead.
