I think you should do what’s best for you and your scenario.
If you fancy the bed, then do that. If you fancy, the sofa do that. What others do shouldn’t have an impact on what you choose. |

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon |
The important thing is how do you feel about it, OP? As a couple. You're the only ones who can decide, everyone else can make suggestions only.
What are you looking to get from the experience? |

"We visited a couple and they laid a lovely quilt on the living room floor, another couple used their spare room.
We have used our bed. "
Was it a flowery quilt? |

I've only ever met at peoples homes or hotels, the living room is the usual and to be honest you don't think too much about the set up. Sometimes there's a mattress, or blow up bed, more often than not it's sofas, floors with rugs and cushions. Spare rooms and main rooms do get used, they aren't out of bounds, I think it's more if they want you walking around their house.
As said, you don't think too much about it once you're into each other. |

I always seem to meet people who can't accommodate so it is at my house. Some like the sofa; some like the bed, but most seem to like starting on the sofa then moving upstairs when we need the extra space and comfort. |
