Dressing for Dog Walking

There was a time when people had dog walking clothes. An old waxed jacket, wellies or ankle boots or clothes you didn't mind getting soiled.

Tom saw a young lady walking her dog wearing next to nothing yesterday. He took little notice but spray on bottoms and top leaving nothing to the imagination. Should dog walkers dress more modestly when out with their pooches... ?

Yes, Tom. Dog walkers should all wear a burqa at all times.

Excommunicdo.

People should be free to wear what they like, not what others ‘suggest’.

I walk my mutt in the same little black dresses and fishnets I wear everywhere else.

If someone doesn't like the way I dress when I walk my dog, they can keep it to themselves

Yes all those men in shorts, sliders and no top should put long trousers and a long sleeved shirt on. The way that guys belly hung over his shorts yesterday was enough to put Rover off his bonio. I hope he didn't see an important man while dressed so inappropriately

People should wear whatever they are comfortable in whether that's full wet weather gear or light weight 'skimpy' summer wear.

In this weather I'm frequently out walking the dog in shirtless in just ratty old shorts and walking boots.

I think the different attire for dog walking probably differs from what kind of walk you are going on, if we are talking just popping round the block then I don't think you have to think about your outfit but if walking /hiking etc, a little black dress isn't really practical lol. As long as the person is comfortable and the dog is happy, does it really matter if it's gold hot pants and crop top?

She's a big dog.

And it's stockings, so no need to worry about the fishnets cubing up the business

I sense my dog needs to learn from yours.

I bought him a large pink collar with metal spikes because following his op he is now identifying as non-binary.

It's very important what one wears when walking the dog. My dog gets embarrassed when I dress in T-shirt, trakkie bottoms and trainers with ankle socks. He feels it would be more appropriate atire in Essex.

I wouldn’t say I have an outfit, but wouldn’t wear shorts in case I cause the ladies in my locality to get hot flushes.
