North West here. I called a few dentists in the area and got my name added to the waiting list. I waited about 2 months but miraculously got an appointment. They told me the wait could be up to 2 years though |

I doubt we are ever going to be able to get signed up to a NHS dentist again if you still got one now make sure you keep up to date and I suspect going to the docs is going to end up the same way over the next few years, already quite a few folks are paying to see docs and for operations so as soon as they have enough private patients to make a damn good living they are not going to bother with all the aggro of dealing with NHS patients they will be able to pick and choose. |

I have a fear of dentists and can't really afford private but my dentist does not offer NHS any more.
If I could find one I would fear my inbuilt fear would stop me going due to nerves of a new dentist so am kind of stuck. |

It's awful around here. Tbf I have gone private now and they are amazing. Not over priced either with prices either matching NHS or cheaper.
Going to have cosmetic work done next which I'm pretty excited about because it's work I've wanted for a while. |

Same. Its nice to look forward to having wanted work done, rather that trying to get "anything" done on the nhs. |

Could try the training dentistry practices in your local hospitals. By ringing them..maybe.
Usually they treat emergency patients. But thinking that they might take NHS patients.
If though, you've spoken to your doctor, and you can get him to refer you to a dentist. (In the Northeast there were a few close to Newcastle. When I looked at the NHS website.) |

"Easy.
Break the law, get banged up in jail.
Hey presto free dental and medical best thing is they come to you!
Obviously I'm not suggesting breaking the law.
"
To be fair you get everything if you break the law even housed in a council house when you get released shocking really as hard working people are not treated the same as criminals |
