"Have yourself a garage sale sure , lol have them come to the house .... table top sale maybe ... thay do that in USA Yard sales , lol" yes they do but you would have to advertise so gives people plenty of time to find out where you are or you could advertise Bargain pages or supper market? |

Just a job to know what to do with things ... having 3 of my older kids moving out left loads and giving there bed rooms full make over and places around my home filled with stuff I will never need . |

I'm just getting a load of stuff ready for a car boot in three weeks.
Loads of costume jewellery, which I've put in sealable bags so they don't get tangled, hardback books which I'll never read again, board games and jigsaws that haven't been touched in years.
Also got an old View Master and reels and some binoculars that belonged to my father. Check what things go for on ebay you may be surprised. I certainly was. The Binoculars that I thought maybe I would get a tenner for are worth up to £100. And the view master which I would probably have let go for a fiver £20-£30 pounds.
I always ask more than I really want, because few will pay the asking price. But if they think they've knocked you down a bit, it's all good |

I've just checked up on Amazon for a jigsaw I have, boxed, of venice by night, complete with lights, they are retailing at £60.00. I know I won;t get that at a car boot, but I now won;t let it go for under £20.
Also some uncirculated £1 coins that I got free with tea back in the 80s are now worth £5.00
It really is worth doing a bit of homework Jo

Just zombie like hordes of scruffy, smelly folk mulling round half empty tables of stuff that really ought to be in the bin, so no stay in bed |

Yes but people will buy any old shite. You're talking from a seller's perspective, I got the impression that the question was about visiting as a customer, in which case my original statement stands |

I did one when my girls had finished with all the baby equipment, when we got there and set up we found that most of the others were doing the same sort of sales, so it was quite competitive and at the end of the session we were giving it away.
Car boots have now been taken over by the market trader so nothing seems to be cheap anymore.
I don't think that they are worth getting out of bed for in the early hours of Sunday morning.... just bring me a cuppa someone |

car boots are best place to get rid of unwanted stuff, but never just have a quick look around while you are there or you find you will go home with more than you came with....lol all jokes aside check the paper for local one. |
