London Police Stations all but Closed

Chelmsford

Reports that police stations in London, ruled by Sadiq Khan, have plummeted from 160 to only 36 over little over a decade..

This is the Metropolitan area and not the City of London which is patrolled by the largely ceremonial, City Police.

Has this decline made it more difficult to access the police. It's all over the news

Hampshire police commissioner has been and is reopening many front desks.

Probably other areas to follow suit.

Police these days are hamstrung by the woke agenda and the softy softy brigade.

The Coalition government's Comprehensive Spending Review of 2010 meant that London's police had to cut their budget by around a quarter by 2016 - with Mr Johnson responsible for closing 87 police stations (there were only 73 left when Sadiq Khan became Mayor).

Only 37 have closed since Khan was mayor.

The closures in London are reflected nationwide, with more than half of Britain's police stations closing between 2010 and 2020.

Oh you mean police actually being held to account now for decades of systematic abuse / racism / homophobia internally and just a good number of them being useless at their jobs / abusing women / exploiting their role and privilege lol . Ah the woke virus is strong ..

People don’t mind the police if they are normal behaved and good at their job and not the above.

Equally thank your governments for money issues with public funding .

More police officers is needed walking around and better system dealing with low level crime at people getting a response / call out /. Video call instead of just an email
