What do you do when politely been turned down? Insist or let it go....On few ocasions now have been meeting with a couple who after been clearly shown that nothing is gonna happen between us keep insisting.
We have been turned down many times and never insisted again, but just wanted to get some more opinions on that. |

You meet them occasionally despite nothing is going to happen ?, why do you meet them then ?. |

have you been very explicit with them? When you say you've made it clear, how have you done that? Some people don't pick up on subtle cues but need telling very clearly... |

This can be tricky, it's happened to me at clubs.
The problem is that a polite no thank you could be interpreted as not this time. And if you are part of a social group then it can be difficult to be more explicit without hurting feelings.
If you enjoy their company socially or can't work out how to do it without being brusque (i haven't worked it out yet) then simply repeating the no thank you is the only option.
Sorry not to be much help. |

"Sorry you are not for us"
"But I insist"
"NO"
"Oh go on"
"NO, now fuck off"
"Pleeeeeease"
"Oh go on then, come round for a shag"
Not going to happen is it lmao |

If you've turned them down once then that could lead them to think that it was not right at that time. Twice, they should have gotten the message. Three times, and they REALLY should have gotten the message!
So, depends how many times you have said 'no'.
I'd be getting pissed off if they were still asking after being told 'no' twice. |
