I suppose it depends on what kind of person too. It’s always a good time to be white, male and rich but I’d probably choose the early 20th century with the technology drive that was happening.

In theory a year in Anglo Saxon times sounds ok. In practice I don't want to live anywhere but the present.
I could adapt to no running water, toilets, kitchens, modern medicine, electricity etc etc but I wouldn't enjoy it for a month let alone a year |
