So obviously these are 2 very common terms that people use. But I have a question on people's thought on these word.
Do you think they are interchangeable or do they have seperate meanings.
For me they have seperate meanings.
FWB is someone who you chat to and talk about other stuff, sometimes spend time with that isn't sex related. Etc.
A Fuck Buddy is someone who you basically just enjoy fucking and don't have much of a relationship or conversations outside of sex.
What are your thoughts |

Yes , and for me FB’s usually run their course, months even years but eventually stop because theres little interaction outside of the meet ups.
My FWB’s I would hope are for life, sometimes the sex will stop, If one of you is trying a monogamous relationship for a while, and
if you really are ‘friends’ you should respect that. |

I like your description and it's something I'd possibly use in replace of FB.
But in the case of my fwb, I like to chat to them about stuff like work, kids other shit just like inwould with my female friends. So thats why I use that term because it is a relationship just not a co dependent one. |

Why people have a need to put labels on things in a first place? I feel like there is very fine line between those two and it’s ultimately what we make of it, or don’t. I don’t like to over complicate things, which are already complicated enough. |

I don't think there's a clear cut definition for lots of people.
Why is that? I'm not sure... people like to make things seem more polite. A FWB sounds nicer than a FB, more socially acceptable. Likewise, using date when you're just fucking someone late at night. |

I will admit i use the term dating to describe whatbim doing cos I'm not sure what else to call it in general company. |

I agree with the OP description.
True fwb’s are hard to find though. I don’t really like the term fuck buddy as it’s a bit cold. Somewhere between the two would be ideal, not sure what you would call that  |

One of the reasons I do use both terms is cos I see guys that fit both descriptions. One guy we pretty much only talk about sex and often the only time we talk about stuff thay isn't sex still is kind of sex related. For example the only reason we talked about gardening is cos he joked that soon no one will be able to get to my front door to have sex with me. After aex most pir conversations are about pur schedules and when we think we can see each other again.
Another guy we chat via messages about work and live. When I brought a new car he asked to see photos and me tell me some of the specs (not that i know whatthat stuff means). And there wasn't a single comment about it being big enough to have sex in. And after sex we lay there and hug and talk about stuff for ages.
Thays why i feel there is a difference between the 2. |
